Actor Tom Arnold is arguing for gun control in the wake of his nephew's suicide.
The Sin City Saints star penned an emotional editorial, published in The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, detailing his own 52-year history with firearms and the tragic story of his mentally unstable nephew, Spencer.

The real issue here is mental health, not guns. Our laws have basically said we can’t interfere with the rights of the mentally ill, including the right to kill themselves.
I feel sorry for the kid and for Arnold, but had the poor kid hanged himself would Arnold be arguing for rope control, etc?.
Arnold’s main complaint is that his first fifteen minutes were not enough.
Is this the son of his drug-addicted sister? Didn’t he also write about his sister’s addiction in Iowa?
Arnold says he himself owns guns, even though he is an admitted substance problem person.
I have known several substance abuse problem people, that committed suicide.

Addiction is recognized as a mental illness, like it or not. It occurs in around 10% of the population of substance users.
Most recovered addicts, alcoholics regain their sanity. But some remain crazy as mother-phuquers.
Plain and simple.
Take the guns away from substance abuse problem people, and they will find a way to get another since they are generally above average intelligence, manipulators of the first order.
So the “take guns away” so called solution is essentially worthless.
Even Roseanne got it right when she dumped this loser.
She’s also supporting Donald Trump.
I’ve known one person who committed suicide He went into the bathtub so he wouldn’t make a mess on the carpet. Slit his wrists.
I’ve had two friends whose husbands committed suicide. One hanged himself in the family home. I was not told how the other died and didn’t ask.
What if another 'star' writes a letter against gun control and for enforcement of immigration laws because he used a gun to prevent his wife from being raped and murdered by a knife wielding illegal.

Based on "star law," we have a near tie. But the second guy wins since he prevented two crimes.
Another addled and egocentric ‘celeb’ makes himself the center of attention.

Guns are blamed so often for the ills of society, you’d think a few would have committed suicide already.
Oh, so the inanimate object cant kill itself, but we talk about guns kiling people as if they are living things with minds all their own. So we dont have to put blame on the people who fired the gun in the first place, right, Tom?
