Analysis: Despite the polls, the game isn't over for Trump

The polling as of late is admittedly fairly bleak for the Trump campaign. The latest RealClearPolitics average of polls has Donald Trump down six points, 41.2% to 47.2%. […]

But all is not lost — at least not yet — say experts, who argue the Republican nominee still has time to close the gap on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. […]

… (T)wo models, the Time for Change model and Primary model show Trump the odds-on favorite to win in November.

The latter model shows Trump winning by a comfortable margin of 5 points, and has an 87% level of confidence. This model has correctly predicted every election since it was first employed in 1996.

Yeah, well - Obama should have been toast in 2012 given the economy, and yet ....

hint:

a. If Trump is behind in every poll come a fortnight before the election (before the usual Democrat voter fraud special sauce is added on election night), he ain’t gonna win;

b. If Trump is tied or maybe slighltly ahead a fortnight before the election, he sin’t gonna win (see #a above if any explanation is required);

c. If Trump is up 3%+ a fortnight before, he probably will win;

So, his odds of winning are no better than 33% right now.

That’s my take. That he’s even in the game, given his missteps and the 24/7 Pravda-like onslaught against him in the media - is a miracle - but its gonna be real, real tough. Just being realistic here.

You’re wrong on every count.

If the voters of America elect him president, he will win.

If the voters of America do not elect him president, he will not win.

It’s as simple as that.

Nothing else matters, especially polls.

Riiiggghhhtttt we should just give up and not even vote this year, right?
I get so tired of the Alinskytes plying their trade on my time. They’re so full of crap and just looking for dummies to believe whatever spews out of their mouths.

You're assuming that the electronic voting machines aren't rigged and that the election hasn't already been bought.

Yes, I am.

And if the machines are rigged and the election has been bought, hopefully Trump will have the balls to confront voter fraud, whereas the GOP clearly does not have the balls to confront fraud or anything else for that matter.

We need to remove the silver spoon fed attorneys from politics who are lazy, ungrateful, self-entitled, spoiled, unethical, greedy, exploitive, etc that are causing the majority of our problems in our country (...in other words just about all of them) and replace them with successful God fearing businessmen who have owned companies, worked hard for a living , and proven track records.

“In a Gallop poll on October 26th in 1980, two weeks before the election, Gallup had it Jimmy Carter 47, Ronald Reagan 39.”

God’s people need to pray for Trump - if we do he will win.

I will do my part in prayer & intercession.

I would also crawl over cut glass to vote for Trump. I don’t believe there are as many dimms this enthused about corrupt Hillary.

I firmly believe that both NJ (14 EC votes ) and NY ( 29 ) will vote for Trump in Nov.

Upstate NY, Long Island, Queens, Staten Island, Brooklyn - massive Trump majorities. Rockland & Westchester spilt. Manhattan & The Bronx - massive Hillary majorities

Similar analysis for NJ

Try & Fiddle with Electoral College map with NJ & NY going Trump. It’s nearly impossible for Hillary to reach 270 if she loses NJ & NY

The size of Trumps balls won’t matter at all if we don’t come out from behind the keyboards in the event of fruad.

I’m trying to figure out how these polls are so close yet the polls at http://abcnewsgo.co are more reflective of crowd draws each candidate gets. Trump 70% and 10-15k attendees, Hillary 8% and 300-500 attendees. Makes you wonder...

Hillary’s support is lukewarm. Trump’s supporters are highly motivated. The polls are missing the turnout factor.

No one on the left is excited about Hillary. She is old, lumpy, shrill and dishonest. Democrat turnout will be light.

Trump represents change and the common man. After decades of the establishment rule, people are ready for something new.

Trumps speeches recently have been much more disciplined recently. He is asking for the black vote and is making the case that he can help them. He is asking for the votes of the blue collar working class and is pointing out the Democrats have abandoned them.

Trump will win on voters turning out for change away from the establishment.

Yes that is true, and thinking people are more and more deciding that a Trump Presidency is best for America. The problem is that there are an enormous amount of democrat zombie voters that don’t think for themselves and have sold their vote in exchange for government cheese. This election more than any other is a barometer on the competency of Americans to govern themselves or are we doomed to live under a despot.

Looking at the polling, they’re actually going WAY out of their way to rig the polling. Literally, on RCP, the first one, they had their front page showing what their breakdown was. 47% Democrat, 36% Republican, 12% Independent and the rest undecided and thus uncounted.

When you break that down to a reasonable 35-31-34 breakdown (D-R-I) you find that the numbers actually come out with Trump in the lead 39-38. So, the reality is, keep fighting like EVERY state you’re down by 10 and you’ll win big against this corrupt Hillary group.

The primary vote totals support your assumption. Republicans 30 Million WAY UP, Democrats WAY DOWN. This is a very good reflection of how the general election turns out. Trump will win, the week of the election suddenly many of the polls will show Trump ahead. Wait and see.

I can’t argue with that.

I think we are going to have to get down and dirty real damn soon.

Well gee, so I guess we should all go and order our Hillary bumper stickers and get with the program, right?
