Good morning, Everyone.

Good morning to our
AWESOME
Military, our Allies, and their families.

Wishing you a safe and enjoyable weekend.

Thank you, fatima, for preparing
the Canteen for today's activities.
It looks like many of the songs I see on the first 50,
I've never heard of.

WOW, we had more rain last night.
That makes 3 nights in a row.
No thunder this time so I didn't have to babysit Daisy.

Yup, running behind schedule again.
Slept in for a change. Now I need to post,
catch up on pings, and get ready for the day.

Got to make my rounds.
Please stay...
chat up the troops and their families.

Wishing you all a happy and peaceful weekend.

Now remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS open
for our Military, Allies, and families.
And those who support them.

Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS

REMEMBER THEM

DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

Had an Okie uncle that lived off the land at times. He joined the 10th Mountain Division for WWII. One of his favorite cooking axioms was “When it is smokin it is cookin, when it is burning, its done.”

Goooood Friday mornin', Early Birds!
It's so not very light this early in the morning!
Guess that's what happens when we get close to fall! LOL!
At least it's cloudy!
Maybe it'll rain...that would be GREAT!
Hope all y'all have a Fantastic Friday!
.....and hope you have fun plans!
School starts soon for some...
...so that means the fun is over!
Anyhooooooo....
(((hugs)))

It even says so in the title.

Thanks for that one. Back in the day Mark O’Connor played for the Dixie Dregs.

I can’t believe I found this song. It’s about a girl, though. Lots of food references: “Chili Bean” http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=chili+beanies+song&view=detail&mid=E9BC25CF811FCAFFD3F3E9BC25CF811FCAFFD3F3&FORM=VIRE

Then, there’s “Yeah Toast!” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0NdwzdOLkE

With so many activists on this site who attend events such as DPAC, YAF, the RNC, state party conventions, etc., I'm surprised no one has posted this song about what one can expect to eat at such events.

Rubber Biscuit--The Chips (1956)

Seems like there are actually very few “on this site who attend events such as DPAC, YAF, the RNC, state party conventions, etc.”

Erratum: CPAC, not DPAC

That's unfortunate. If folks from our side don't get involved in these clambakes, the RINOs will run them.

Getting involved in person over time and admitting it on FR invites getting flamed for being a political hack.

If working my heart out as a volunteer for candidates ranging from George Murphy in his bid for re-election to the Senate in 1970 to Van Tran's attempt to unseat Democrat Rep. Loretta Sanchez in 2010 makes me a political hack, then the firebugs on FR can flame on.
