These liberals move out of their states to make their new states look like the cess pits they left. Yet again liberals show they have no brains or common sense.

General Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia, one of the greatest in modern history, evidently does not have many descendants living in Virginia today.

It's very possible Trump could win Va. Black turn out in Richmond, Norfolk/Newport News will likely fall back to historic levels with no black on the ticket. I also think rural & working class whites will turn out in record numbers in western Va & south central Va and swamp NoVA Rat plurality. Many of these will be people who have given up on the voting process because too few candidates of both parties speak their “language” or have their interests at heart. Trump seems to, thus appeals to them.

Decent respectable citizens of *all* colors have more in common with Trump's positions than those of the Former Twelfth Lady. One example of why decent *black* citizens should go Trump....or,perhaps,Republican...is well said by Thomas Sowell.Although this isn't an exact quote it went something like: “The Democrat Party's War On Poverty has damaged black families in a way that the KKK and Jim Crow laws never could”.

I hope you are right and VA turns out for Trump. I’m just not planning on that in any electoral scenario where Trump wins.

"The old idiot at the Trump rally that punched the young black guy, cost Trump dearly. That event started the Trump anti-black meme."

No. The meme was out there waiting to land. If it didn't land on that, it would have landed on something else. You don't understand how this works. The meme is first, and then an event is used to make it look like the meme was organic.

You've been as hoodwinked as any Dem who believes the punch is actually a signal that Trump is racist ... you just happen to not think he is. But you've been just as tricked, just as used. You've been made to blame the wrong thing ... in this case ... you're belly gazing.

Watch every emotion, every thought ... and ask yourself 'was this intended by someone else ... was I tricked into this thought.' Your ego will say it's your own thought. If that's the case, you'll always be made a fool by them, even if you hate them, they still control you.

Observe the thought, be humble, detach, watch, disconnect ... you'll see you're as manipulatable by them as the average lumpen dem.

Am I insulting you? No. Once you get this humility, they can no longer fool you. But ... they just did. We don't need dopey anti-dems. We need freedom lovers who understand their tricks. You only really, really understand a trick when first it fooled you, then you observe it and understand your weakness in defense that allowed it through - how you were fooled is as important as how they fooled you. Then, you can spot it as it's happening.

This is what 'know yourself' means. It does not mean 'praise yourself' or 'hold yourself in unconditional high esteem.' ... or for that matter ... 'blame an old man who punched a black idiot who was probably sent to provoke this or worse for why 'Trump is a racist' got traction.' 'Know yourself' means 'know your weaknesses.' Know your strengths too ... but you don't need to investigate yourself for those ... your ego will point them out to you.

As a human born in sin (technically, sin means 'to miss the mark') ... if you can't rattle off 20 weaknesses, you don't know yourself - and that is the biggest weakness. I just gave you one. I'm sure you are about to pay me back :-)

End of (correct) lecture. If the first thing you want to do is rattle off 10 of my weaknesses, you are a slave to your ego, and the Dems love you - you are an unknowing double agent.

Not good. We have enough retirees here from other places who are turning NC into a Demonrat haven. This election this year is critical to keeping them out of power as we did in 2012. So I hope the Northern Virginia government retirees go somewhere else!

Again, not a good scenario. NC is not far from following Virginia’s footsteps. There are some stalwart conservatives still here but far too many imports who are changing things for the worse.

I listened to that speech last night. I thought it was powerful. Sure there will be thugs arrested and taken off the street. But the majority will discover something they’ve never seen before LEADERSHIP! Many one-time gangbangers will get a job, become respectable citizens and military heroes. Trump is the 1st republican to address inner city crime issues directly.

Trump's campaign plays well to the inner city for so many reasons. Now whether they will realize it or not remains to be seen. But if the inner city African Americans think that Hillary's open border policy is going to help them they can think again.

For example lets say that a company has a low skill job. Do they give that to an American Citizen with some run ins with the law? or do they give it to the new immigrant who you can't background check so looks completely clean on paper?

The hiring manage will give it to "new immigrant" (formerly illegal alien before Hillary changed to open borders). That way if anything should happen that's bad with that employee they can say they did their due diligence as best they could and they are off the hook as far as liability is concerned.

Even in the suburbs Trump's plans for the economy work to the advantage of every young adult that doesn't really know what they want to do for a career. It used to be that if you got out high school didn't know if college was for you, you could find a job as a janitor at a big company. Just by being in that company during the day you saw who were the movers and shakers were. Who were putting in the extra hours to get ahead. You could talk to them find out why they chose there career path and ultimately if you had some ambition could start to fashion a path for yourself.

Today you get a job with fast food chain X, find a roommate, talk to no one except others in your predicament. How do you ever get ahead?

I could go on and on. I know that industries change and some of that plays a role as well but there are so many young people who used to be given a leg up in life and now are just being left behind.

i.e. she will only go downhill from here.

There was a water purifier salesman back in the 90’s that said, “the quality of your city drinking water today is the best it will ever be. i.e. it is only going to get worse.

My statement seems convoluted, but if you parse the words, you see where I’m going. :-)

I know, I have been very critical of VA politics, but the conservatives there are nearly as outnumbered as they are in CT. No need to fault the Old Dominion, a nickname that may yet be scrapped anyway. The Nutmeggers remain hopelessly clueless.
