McCain: ObamaCare ‘Unraveling at a Rapid Rate’

Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead,” Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) told a reporter that ObamaCare was “unraveling and at a rapid rate.”

McCain said, “It’s clear that Obamacare is unraveling, and at a rapid rate. We’re going to have to go back to square one. We’re going to have to go back and not only repeal, but replace and make health care available to every American.

Oh Yes! The old coot is suddenly conservative again. I wonder why.

Where's your evidence for that? I heard him say, "repeal and replace"... that isn't a conservative position. He also said, "healthcare for all"... that generally means Single-Payer.

I see nothing conservative in JM.

Saw just today another Insurance co. (Aetna)is leaving the NC UnaffordableCare market. United Health Care left earlier this year.

Repeal? Yes! Replace? No!! The federal government has never been given the authority to regulate health care or the insurance industry.

Senator McCain, rip out this abomination existing under color of law by the roots and destroy it. Then read the Tenth Amendment and keep your nose out of the insurance industry!

Socialized medicine will be built atop the ruins of ZeroCare, as planned. Lenin called socialized medicine the keystone of Communism. It will drain the money from those that have it, and kill off the seniors that harbor dangerous memories of what democracy used to be like. In two generations we can be like North Korea.

Yes, it has.

“Article I Section 8

“The Congress shall have Power .... To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;”

That’s where the government gets the power to issue patents that allow drugs to be expensive.

“And To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers”

And that’s why the government has the power to regulate insurers - they buy about $100 billion worth of drugs a year. Probably only Ford, General Motors and Wal-Mart have a larger impact on American commerce than health insurers do.

I certainly don’t think the PPACA is proper since it has major design flaws and regulates pure services such as most psychiatric care and physical therapy, but it is undoubtedly necessary (for some Americans who need expensive drugs, etc.).
