After Diverting Zika Money to UN Slush Fund, Obama Demands More
The New American ^ | 15 August 2016 | Alex Newman

The Obama administration is demanding that Congress immediately approve new tax funding for Zika research, but has so far failed to mention that Obama already diverted $500 million worth of infectious disease research funds to illegally finance the United Nations “climate” bureaucracy's slush fund. In the meantime, to deal with the alleged budget shortfall caused by the previous illegal diversion of funds, the White House has diverted tax money from other programs to pay for Zika research.

But the supposed problem is entirely self-inflicted. In March, after Congress refused to approve funding for the UN's global-warming agenda — funding that is now officially illegal under federal law — Obama illegally raided the funds previously approved by Congress for use in battling infectious diseases such as Zika. Instead of using those funds for the Zika research that Obama now claims is so crucial, though, he sent the half of a billion U.S. tax dollars to a UN “Green Climate [slush] Fund” (GCF) controlled by brutal dictators and other unsavory regimes.

“Congress refused to allocate funding for the U.N. Climate Change Fund last year, so the president used this account designated for international infectious diseases to pay for his priority,” explained U.S. Senator James Lankford, a Republican representing Oklahoma. “While I understand that intelligent people can disagree on the human effects on the global climate, it is hard to imagine a reason why the administration would prioritize the U.N. Green Climate Fund over protecting the American people, especially pregnant women, from the Zika virus.”

Normally, in most European countries....had someone diverted money to this amount....they’d be called in and charges pressed against them.

Personally, I wouldn’t move another dollar in 2016 to any Zika deal. Start in 2017, and label the money as dependent on Zika research only. Insert a line that for each dollar diverted....goes a dollar from the President’s own pay-check.

I’m getting damn tired of Congress letting the head black get away with violating the laws of the country. Every single one of them should be in jail along with Obama and his administration.

U.S. Senator James Lankford, :

"it is hard to imagine a reason why the administration would prioritize the U.N. Green Climate Fund
over protecting the American people, especially pregnant women, from the Zika virus.”

No it's not.

You're in denial, Senator.

I’m getting damn tired of Congress letting the head black get away with violating the laws of the country.

And yet Congress acts puzzled as to why most black citizens have such an utter disregard for the nations laws.

I agree.

This is just another scare tactic by the Left, the UN and the World Health Organization to rustle up more funds for themselves and their pet projects, like climate change and LGBT rights.

According to the fact sheet put out by the Centers For Disease Control, Zika is NOT that big a deal for most folks:

What is Zika? Zika is a disease caused by Zika virus that is spread to people primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito. The most common symptoms of Zika are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis (red eyes). The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting for several days to a week. People usually don’t get sick enough to go to the hospital, and they very rarely die of Zika.

What are the symptoms of Zika? About 1 in 5 people infected with Zika will get sick. For people who get sick, the illness is usually mild. For this reason, many people might not realize they have been infected. The most common symptoms of Zika virus disease are fever, rash, joint pain, or conjunctivitis (red eyes). Symptoms typically begin 2 to 7 days after being bitten by an infected mosquito.

What is the treatment for Zika? There is no vaccine or specific medicine to treat Zika virus infections. Treat the symptoms:

• Get plenty of rest

• Drink fluids to prevent dehydration

• Take medicine such as acetaminophen to reduce fever and pain

• Do not take aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs

And this from an article in the Washington Post:

"....While there are many cases of Zika at present spread across more than 30 countries, it has proven nowhere near as deadly [as ebola]. In Brazil, the country hardest hit by the outbreak so far, the government thinks that as many as 1.5 million people may have been infected with the virus so far. Yet there's only been a handful of adult deaths linked to the virus. In fact, experts believe that only one in five people infected with Zika experience any sort of symptoms at all...."

Based on this information, it sounds like this virus is not much different that a cold or flu except where pregnant women are concerned and it could affect the unborn baby. So we all know Obama is trolling for money for his radical causes and not for Zika "research." Just another Leftist ploy to fool the populace. Congress had better not buckle under to this guy and give him more money after he's squandered and given away the targeted funds previously. He's as big a crook as HilLIARy.

I hope I formatted this comment correctly. HTML coding is a mystery to me. :-)
