Consulting on how to debate and handle the media doesn’t mean he’s taking policy advice.

I thought Fox News/Ailes were evil?
To: DoughtyOne
Maybe the problem was Bush, not Ailes?
Or if it was Ailes, then maybe this time it’s different. Fox hates Trump. Fox fired (in essence) Ailes. Ergo, like the movie guy used to say, this time it’s personal. This time Ailes wants Trump to mop the floor with the candidate the Murdochs are backing.
Just some thoughts...

Fox News is. Jury is still out on Ailes.

The campaign said this AM it wasn’t so.
At least there was no official connection to the campaign. It did admit they had been friends for decades.
Which may be even better.

Ailes is out because Murdoch’s kids are taking over and they hate him. This is inside info from a close relative that works there.

The best way to make sure a job doesn’t get done, is to assign a guy that will never complete the job.
Ailes is not a supporter of Trump. If he was he could have stepped down at Fox.
Lets not kid ourselves.

If Ailes liked Trump he would have stepped down at Fox, now waited to be forced out.
I don’t think we should kid ourselves that Ailes is a diehard Trump supporter.
Look what was going on at FoxNews under his direction.

Funny how the rumor mill works, eh?
Trump Campaign Denies NYT Report That Ailes Will Help With Debate Prep - TPM
"He is not advising Mr. Trump or helping with debate prep. They are longtime friends, but he has no formal or informal role in the campaign," campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks told the Hollywood Reporter. Hicks later told the New York Times, "They speak occasionally, which isn't news."
