Democrats Dismiss Voter-Fraud Worries, but Reality Intrudes
National Review ^ | August 7, 2016 | John Fund

Three federal courts have thrown out voter-ID laws in North Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin in recent days. Left-wing judges accepted spurious evidence that such laws were racially discriminatory, and they also insisted there is little voter fraud to worry about. Last April, United States District Judge Lynn Adelman of Wisconsin claimed that “virtually no voter impersonation occurs” in Wisconsin and that “no evidence suggests that voter-impersonation fraud will become a problem at any time in the foreseeable future.”

Despite such sweeping statements, polls show that the general public is worried about fraud and bureaucratic incompetence in voting. According to a Pew Research Center survey, only 31 percent of Americans were confident that “the votes across the country were accurately counted” in the 2012 election. Small wonder. A separate Pew survey in 2012 found that one out of eight voter registrations is inaccurate, out-of-date, or a duplicate. Some 2.8 million people are registered in two or more states, and 1.8 million registered voters are dead.

Guerilla filmmaker James O’Keefe is famous for having busted institutions ranging from the fraudulent voter-registration group ACORN to NPR. His Project Veritas team has also piled up an impressive array of videos documenting that the Pew survey numbers on voter registration could easily be translated into fraudulent votes with very little chance of detection. [...]

In 2014, political scientists Jesse Richman and David Earnest, writing in the Washington Post, summarized their finding, based on their examination of thousands of voter interviews from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study: “Our best guess, based upon extrapolations from the portion of the sample with a verified vote, is that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008, and 2.2 percent of non-citizens voted in 2010.

Plus organizations such as “True The Vote” will say something different in regards to voter fraud.

Of course they dismiss voter fraud - because they’re the ones planning to implement that sort of machination to put hillary over the top.

It’s not rocket science.

Many countries when people vote, stick the thumb in a bottle of silver nitrate turning it blue. Would this be racially discriminating....

If I were intent on committing voter fraud, here’s how it would work:

1. Call a bunch of voters under the guise of conducting a ‘poll’.
2. Find out whether they intend to vote in November.
3. If not, request an absentee ballot in their name.
4. Use it to vote.
5. Profit.

How much do you want to bet it happens here in Wisconsin?
What, no takers? Trust me when I say “it happens”.

I can see why Democrats aren’t too worried about voter fraud...A lot like Jesse James wasn’t too worried about baks running out of money...

Voter fraud - usurping the will of the American voters - should carry a VERY heavy fine and a minimum of 20 years in jail with no parole. Trump should get on that! He could also say that all government employees, politicians wages cap out at $125,000.....including all elected officials.

How come we, as the employers of our elected officials, have absolutely no say regarding their salary and annual pay raises?

And the judge knows there will be little evidence of voter-impersonation fraud since:
1) There is no voter-id requirement.
2) Prosecutors are in on the game in the inner-city areas where the fraud is endemic.
3) A lot of the fraud is via absentee ballots, stealing the votes of the sick and elderly who are unlikely to complain.

Voter fraud should have been dealt with a long time ago. Now, it is too late. There is nothing we can do about machines that are already hacked, voter rolls that are corrupt, and polling places that will violate the law at will.

Too late. We can't stop voter fraud now, and it will steal another election.

Why, there’s so ‘little CRIME’, maybe we can repeal the robbery\theft laws too. Hell, I’m sure THOSE ‘discriminate’ as well...

Where the HELL are the States\AGs telling the court to go pound sand??

How do they account for 100%+ turnout and all voting for the same person?

Great book by same author: Who's Counting?: How Fraudsters and Bureaucrats Put Your Vote at Risk, by John Fund and Hans von Spakovsky.

Of course we can't stop all vote fraud. But we should stop as much as we can.

One line of attack might be a "bounty" reward system for those who can find proof of election fraud, maybe by going undercover. Let the bounty hunters know! Another is a large GOP campaign to recruit volunteers as poll watchers - especially targeted to known fraud areas. Exit polls can show a lot if the discrepancy is large. We need every conservative lawyer in the country to volunteer on election day since they have 10 times as many as we do. This is America, we can outwit those fraudsters!

Is True the Vote any good? Will we see results if we donate or volunteer?

True; I just want to make sure that my volunteer time and/or donations will do any good.

I learned the hard way not to trust just any org.

“There is no voter-id requirement.”.......

There damn sure IS voter I.D. requirement here in Wisconsin. I voted yesterday and had to show the I.D.

Excuse me. I incorrectly believed that the recent Wisconsin v Thornsen ruling killed the whole thing, rather than just some aspects of it. Your experience and further research prove me wrong. Thanks for the correction.

What forms of ID are accepted? Photo ID required?

This is why organizations such as True The Vote have been founded, to fight and prevent voter fraud.
