I went to high-school adjacent to a neighborhood where civilization has pretty much collapsed.
At the time it was a rough-around-the-edges black neighborhood. I had many friends there who were from good families, and who went on to become successful human beings.
Within a couple of years of graduation they all started moving out of this neighborhood for the very same reasons you mentioned. There are now few people of good character remaining, and it is basically a shooting gallery.
In fairness the white-trash neighborhood about a mile further up the road is no better.
Very true. And too much of the popular culture and the media’s fanning of racial flames that saturate the minds of young black males today inclines too many of them to develop a pitbull mentality.

It’s a pattern being repeated around the globe.
The ease of transportation makes it easy to people to abandon bad areas.
It’a happening on a global scale, leaving whole countries in tatters and the productive people abandon it.
BTW, if you’re white and you pop-off to a police officer, it generally doesn’t end well either.
Yes. race is the veneer that hides the real problem—economic opportunity. Historically, the way to advance oneself economically has been through proper training/education. This is best done in an encouraging home environment that values such training (which is more readily accomplished in a two-parent home). The disintegration of the black family as a result of the Great Society ensures blacks (and poor whites) will have an increasingly difficult time getting (or caring to get) the necessary training that would allow them to get on in the world.

What was your ambition in life? Did you even really even think about what you wanted to be, and what it would take to achieve it?
I still maintain the real gap is the “Ambition Gap”. What do people in the Hood aspire to be? Rappers? Drug Dealers? Basketball players?
Yep. We’re reaching critical mass. And you know there are forces at work manipulating all of this. This isn’t just some strange confluence of events. This is intended - and has been for some time.

I have observed that the liberals who breathlessly bleat about “diversity and inclusion” live in areas with similar demographics as you describe. They simply have no idea.
Well, the rappers and basketball players parts I can understand. That’s a result of our society’s warped values. We’ve elevated these aspirations to mythic heights. When you look at the value we place on those with a singing voice or some sort of physical prowess, why wouldn’t someone want to make these his/her ambition. The problem is that the real ambition is for personal wealth. This is the new ambition. Given that, you can see how even the drug-dealer option is based on achieving the same end.
None of these lofty goals require much character, though.
But the problem is that for every rapper, or athlete that gets wealthy, there are thousands that never make it and have no Plan B.
Well, you could join the entourage, I suppose.
Step one: Demonize your enemies by calling them racists. Accuse them of all sorts of imagined abuses and distort history.
Step two: Promote your group as superior beings that are entitled to attack and subjugate the demonized group.
Right out of Joseph Goebbels and Alfred Rosenberg’s playbook. BLM. NBP, Nation of Islam, Gay activists are carrying step 2 right now. Instead of the ideal Aryan man of Nazi Germany, we have the ideal Satanic man created out of the synthesis of the Left and Islam.

Out of curiosity...How does the BEHAVIOR of your (less than) 4% stack up compared to the white population?
I agree; while there is some high-profile white guilt BS out there, most whites have given up on integration and assimilation - both have failed miserably and VERY publicly.
I don’t know any whites that voluntarily have any dealing with blacks at all at this point; if blacks in neighboring Newark NJ see a white person, it is either a drug customer, a hooker’s john, or a cop.
