CNN gave her 3 minutes or so this morning. Not that she was asked, but she never did say what remark Trump made that offended her. She just characterized it as offensive.

CAMEROTA: It was a memorable moment this week when military mom Catherine Byrne confronted Republican Vice Presidential Nominee Mike Pence over Donald Trump's comments about that gold star family of a fallen U.S. soldier. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CATHERINE BYRNE, MILITARY MOM: Time and time again, Trump has disrespected our nation's armed forces and veterans, and his disrespect for Mr. Khan and his family is just an example of that. Will there ever be - will there ever be a point in time when you're able to look at Trump in the eye and tell him enough is enough.

MIKE PENCE (R), VICE PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE: (INAUDIBLE). It's OK. It's OK.

BYRNE: You have a son in the military.

PENCE: It's OK.

BYRNE: How do you tolerate his disrespect?

PENCE: Well, I thank you for the question.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: (INAUDIBLE).

PENCE: It's all right. It's all right.

Folks, that's what - that's what freedom looks like, and that's what freedom sounds like.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CAMEROTA: Joining us now is that mom, Catherine Byrne. Her son, Raymond Byrne, is an Air Force serviceman, currently deployed in the Persian -

CATHERINE BYRNE, MILITARY MOM BOOED AT PENCE RALLY IN NEVADA: Raymond Harman.

CAMEROTA: Raymond Harman. Thank you very much for that correction, Catherine. It's great to have you here.

BYRNE: Good morning. Thank you.

CAMEROTA: So, what - what was your plan? What did you want to have happen when you went there to confront VP Nominee Mike Pence?

BYRNE: I just, you know, confronting Governor Pence about, you know, to stand with Donald Trump really confuses me. So I think the - Donald Trump's, you know, the words to the Khan family over the weekend were just so angering and so upsetting. And then the opportunity to have Pence in town and to have the opportunity to ask him a question, you know, straight up about, how can you stand next to somebody who shows such disrespect for the military, and it's just really upsetting. So my - my goal was just to get my voice out there, and ask a tough question at a town hall meeting.

CAMEROTA: Well, you accomplished that, and the crowd booed you after - during -

BYRNE: Yes, they did.

CAMEROTA: And what did they say to you?

BYRNE: I - well, I was - I was surprised. I think I was taken off at the moment. I didn't think they'd get so loud. I mean I knew that I was going to get some opposition, but I didn't expect it to be so, you know, so really explosive.

CAMEROTA: Yes, I mean you just pressed through it -

BYRNE: Exactly. And it actually kind of - the issue is respect or lack of respect. So the crowd kind of answered the question a little bit. Even though Mr. - you know, Governor Pence really didn't directly answer my question about standing, you know, side to side or supporting somebody who's so disrespectful. That's really my question to Governor Pence. And I didn't really get that directly answered, although he did, you know, he - you know, Governor Pence's response to me was very respectful and very thoughtful and I thank him for that.

CAMEROTA: Well, he did say that he honors your son's service and he also said -

BYRNE: Yes.

CAMEROTA: That he had never met anybody more committed to the troops than Donald Trump. What did you think of that answer?

BYRNE: I just don't understand what that means to him because what comes out of Mr. Trump's mouth is just so disturbing, so I don't know how that - how we can call that support of the troops. And to offend our generals, what our generals know, and to offend gold star families is just not the behavior that I was raised being a member of a military family.

CNN - August 3, 2016

Lest anybody think Pence's answer is somehow immune to media onslaught, ckeck out the suggestion by Camerota. The only reason Trump gets slammed while Pence gets a pass, is that Trump is at the top of the ticket and Pence is not. A decision by the press to spin an extensive web of deceit has nothing to do with the tenor or contents of the response.

Intelligent voters who fact check will find this out. The average “Duh” voter, more interested in the next sporting event on TV than wasting time researching issues and candidates, will not. They will never hear of this.

The democrat “questions” are NEVER going to random audiance walk-ups.)

The people at EVERY dnc-Hillary-Obola event ARE PLANTS (trained and guided) activists.

You need to understand. For a modern liberal democrat-socialist, political power IS their religion. They will NOT tolerate anything that might disturb that power. It’s why the democrats bus their supporters into a rally site, AND to a protest site. It’s why the democrats buy identical T-shirts, hats, signs, and banners for their protesters.

IT IS THEIR LIFE.

I’m wondering about the mechanics in motion that got her
called on so quickly out of all those people. How lucky for her!

"It seems like for every election we see Democratic Plants infiltrate private Republican rallies to ask questions, but never see Republican Plants going to Democratic events to ask questions."

A big reason is that the RNC is totally centralized and removed from the state and local parties and organizations. So they have little access to the footsoldiers who do this stuff. Having been to many local office debates in NYC and Nassau County I can testify that at the Q&As 90% of the Qs are asked by plants from BOTH parties. It is a time honored practice, though it does often exclude the actual voter. The closest I have seen the GOP do this were the townhalls on Obamacare that were attended by the nascent Tea Party. But then the Tea Party idea was overtaken by politicians who sought to ride its coattails topower and then forget it.

Nonsense? Like, "Get the crying baby out of here?"
The press is just waiting like a trip wire for Trump to open his mouth with his stupid remarks.
If the MSM wasn't so wrapped up with the Kahn BS, they'd be making a big deal out of the baby.
For the next 3 months he needs to stop feeding the MSM by showing a ton of self-discipline and motor-mouth control.

Nonsense? Like, "Get the crying baby out of here?"

Did you watch it, or did you "hear" about it?

The press doesn't need a "trip wire," they're looking for a problem to have. Trump is about winning votes, not pathologically trying to avoid losing them...like the GOPe that has been almost universally rejected by their base.

Because the Dems never actually hold rallies. They hold carefully-staged productions, where everyone has their lines to read. Everything is carefully rehearsed and everyone knows who everyone else is and what they’ll say. You’d have a better chance of sneaking a ringer unnoticed into a Broadway play than a Dem “rally”.

Then how the hell is he supposed to avoid triggering them?

I’m getting really suspicious of all these concern trolls on FR lately. They seem to be on every thread. I wish someone would do something about it. It’s not helpful.

I KNEW it! I’m just glad that it was confirmed officially.

Media having a cow that she was booed. She was booed because people knew what she was doing. It wasn’t some Republican military mom who was legit concerned; it was a Democrat trying to capitalize on the Kahn situation and military for political expediency.

I completely agree.

And I agree with the person who asked, whether Cruz is behind it.

He is not a gracious competitor. Not at all.

He has burned almost every bridge he had, out there.

The next step after a tacit admission (silence) is a McRomney-like brow-fisting mea culpa to these partisan attacks.

The best defense is a counter-attack.

“Democrats are CLASSLESS.”

They are worse than that. They are evil.
Every worse than THAT they are STUPID and evil, because the idiocy they support will destroy THEIR lives and country as well.
