Polls suggest Paul Ryan insulated from Donald Trump angst

Donald Trump’s refusal to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan is a head-turning election story, a new milestone in a bad political marriage and a sign of extreme, ongoing Republican turmoil.

But there’s little evidence in the polling so far that it will seriously hurt Ryan back home in Wisconsin, where the Janesville congressman faces a GOP primary next week against first-time candidate and Trump supporter Paul Nehlen.

Surveys this summer show Ryan is much more popular than Trump in Wisconsin. That is true in Ryan’s congressional district and statewide. And it is true for voters both inside and outside the Republican Party.

The polls show no sign of a pro-Trump backlash against Ryan, who endorsed Trump but has repeatedly distanced himself from Trump’s rhetoric and ideas. In an early July survey, Ryan was just as popular in Wisconsin among Republicans who support Trump as he was among those who don’t.

BTW

Keep in mind, that making the E5 BIG $$$ immigrant visas permanent is RYAN’s objective in the house. This is ALL about $$$$! Ryan is OWNED by an immigration lawyer, Cesar Conda, who along with Grover Norquist/Rove got E5’s put into Bush’s immigration policies.

Some (Grassley) are trying to reform the E5 because it is a FRAUD magnet. Others like Ryan, Flake, McCain want it left as is....CORRUPT.

“It remains to be seen how this will affect EB-5. There is a very good chance that it will mean a continuation of the program without reform. How long it will take to pass specific EB-5 legislation aside from the broader matter of sweeping reform is anybody’s guess”

You do know that Huelskamp is the Conservative and Marshall is the liberal RINO Establishment puppet back by Ryan, Boehner and those cretins.

Some people are more concerned about what uniform a player is wearing instead of what the players' stats are.

Ryan’s district went hard for Cruz, maybe they’ve seen the error of their ways and will just sit this one out.

Biden meant that everyone in the entire world is an American because our borders have no meaning.

One world government is the end game - like the E.U.

Peace through Unity. No need to have wars as there are no ‘countries’ any more. People free to move or travel anywhere.

Even if Ryan survives this, the House GOP can dump him as Speaker

What did Cantor’s polls look like just before he went down in flames?

Where are the other 5?

If I were Trump I’d give him the same tepid support he gave Trump. I’d also bad mouth and question Ryan just like Ryan is doing to Trump.

The polls they’re citing are almost a month old—July 7-10. A month is approximately forever in politics. If they had recent polling showing Ryan up they would have cited it.

Don’t worry, a lot of people will vote for Ryan’s alternative in the election, even he or she may be a democrat. One way or another, Ryan will lose.

Nehlen just got some more of my money.

F Ryan and his globalist, America-destroying cabal.

This is the same Milwaukee Journal that published polls showing Gov. Walker losing the 2012 recall election by five points. Walker won that race by 9 points. That’s a 14 point error.

Have they consulted with George P. about this. He is probably going to wait to 2024 though.
