Slim chance but possible.

I know people in his district who've told me about big DC money pouring in (again as they've tried this before but in general election, not primary) about other non-conservatives making phone calls telling farmers Huelscamp wanted to shut down their government payments (gravy train) which he did but in an orderly fashion that would have "allowed" (not the government's plan) them to plant crops of their choice rather than getting paid to leave thei land barren.

In Kansas, RINO’s had a field day, unseating conservatives in several legislative races. Tim Huelskamp was just the highest profile casualty. Sam Brownback has become toxically unpopular, almost on a Bob Taft scale.

You need to stop viewing everything through the prism of your desire to punish everyone who doesn’t like Trump as much you. Why in the world would you imagine that ordinary voters share your delusions?

People in KS tell me, this primary, not a damn thing to do with Trump. It was a jihad against conservatives, several conservative state legislators were also defeated. Terrible terrible news.

Cruz supporters have a gigantic blind spot when it comes to how unpopular the neverTrump movement was and remains among conservatives. It helped Hillary pure and simple.

Do I believe that all or most KS voters contacted you to say how proud they were of Huelskamp’s neverTrump efforts?

No I do not.

‘Ted Cruz was a fighter and an outsider, and we needed him...’

Now he’s fighting for Hillary:

I really like Ward, and if she gets the nomination, it would be stupid not to fully support her, and to even work for her campaign. She is much more preferable than John McCain. In a head to head race with Kilpatrick, it is hard to know which way it would go. It is that tight.

Ann Kilpatrick has managed to rally and energize more Democrats than usual, and she already has Phoenix, Tempe, and Tuscan largely locked up. Again, as usual, it depends on turnout in the greater Phoenix and rural areas. Will this number be great enough to overcome an energized Democratic ground game in the liberal cities proper, we don’t know.

No matter how this goes, it is going to be tougher sailing in the desert from here. As much damage as McCain (a regular turn-coat on many issues) has done nationally, in the past he did manage to pull enough of the moderate votes out of the Phoenix and Tuscan areas in a past elections to get elected.

As far as judges go, when did John McCain block a conservative jurist to the SCOTUS? Blocking Obama’s hard left wing activist judges and unqualified nominees was the right thing to do, period.

___________________________________________________________

At the end of the day, the fact remains, GOP-e and other liberal east coast donors largely funded Dr. Marshall in Kansas. This has been well tracked and cycled.

As well, within this primary campaign, Dr. Marshall did not pretend to run so much as a conservative. Although, maybe what is happening here is that the new conservative is the old moderate, as America continues to generally move away from morality toward the acceptance of immorality.

An economic case in point, to modern every day Democrats (true Fabian socialists), the moderate republican would be considered a right wing extremist. While ultimately flawed from the beginning because of the belief in stronger federal governance over the states, many older Democrat voters really were not for socialism.

Now, as convoluted and hard to understand as it may be, Kansas has no choice but to elect a guy who was bought and paid for my the same GOP-e which has consistently worked against Trump, and worked to end many truly conservative candidates.

As stated above, it is the same GOP-e which really did pull the strings to take LTC Allen West out of the picture, as he represented a truly dynamic conservative threat to the “establishment.” The establishment is that bad. Going back in time, they tried twice to derail Reagan, in favor of moderate to liberal “establishment” candidates. This is not new.

Possibly. I’m hearing there was a lot of ag-related dissatisfaction with Huelskamp, but being a neverTrump HAD to hurt him badly too.

Our only hope for truly correcting the course our nation is on, a course toward war against God and morality, and government tyranny and global governance, is ultimately repentance, morality, and the byproduct of true national conservatism.

While no one is guiltless, or without fault, true morality rooted in a love for God and what is right, is the foundation of traditional American conservatism.

As such, while far from perfect, the true strength and benefit of a conservative is more their ability to understand the consequences of immorality and wrong decisions, and to identify the motivation of principled ideology through the smoke and mirrors of pure indoctrinated emotion.

Like with Reagan, we may get a reprieve with Trump, but at the end of the day, we are losing our fight to sustain freedom into the next generation across America, as morality and individual responsibility/freedom are being destroyed by immorality and carelessness inherent in those who are bent on eliminating moral boundaries. Its destructive effect is already largely being felt.

Not saying we are on different pages at all.

I am just restating that morality and conservatism are not the enemy. However, there will certainly be flaws and more independent thinking from conservatives than from the robots on the left.

I hope Ward wins the whole thing in Arizona!

Everyone celebrating this loss...

Here's who was celebrating it last night. Think about it.
(Yeah, Tim made a mistake by opposing Trump too.)

“Once Trump accrued enough delegates to secure the nomination, everyone’s focus should have been on defeating Hillary. But the neverTrumpers WANTED her to be selected don’t believe me? Have a look:”

I’ve said for more than four years on this forum that if Hilliary runs she wins. It’s not about never Trumps or anything else. The country in 2008 wanted to elect the first black president and in 2016 will elect Hilliary the first female president...

This is a disaster kinda like watching the Tsunami pulling back and then rushing back and crushing everything in its path...

It’s an uphill climb given McCain’s money, but I think this cycle money is increasingly less important in ads than before.

Huge expense for little gain, like going over the top in WW1.

You’ve said it for four years and it sounds like you’re still a defeatist now in spite of everything happening. If you’re right, and you are that good at predicting, why don’t you bet everything you own, every dollar you have and every dollar you can borrow, on her at one of the on line betting sites? If she wins you’ll need all that extra money, and more.

It's not a bet its a fact based on the demographics of the country. I get you guys in campaign mode but I said I have said the same thing long before the 2016 election —check my posts.

Hilliary will win because she is the first woman just as O won because he was the first black. That's just the way the country is today as much as I wish it was different..

Will you commit here publicly to writing an open apology in a vanity thread if you have been wrong for four years, are wrong now, and are doing nothing to support those hoping and working for Trump’s, and our, victory come November?

Gee this thread sure brings out the Cruz supporters.

If you're referring to me, I was a Trump supporter when the rest of ya'll were backing Cruz. Check my posting history.
