Mel Heifetz of Philadelphia celebrated the end of the Democratic National Convention last week by writing a $1 million check to the effort to elect Hillary Clinton.
Heifetz, a Center City real-estate investor and one of the most generous supporters of gay-rights causes in the nation, said he intends to send a strong message to other party donors: Get off the sidelines.
We dont have any choice, Heifetz said in an interview. Donald Trump being president? God forbid. A lot of people have to step up.

Sure are a lot of gays with money to burn, aren’t there?
He’s announcing this like it’s a major call to arms. He’s donated quite a bit to democrats and leftist causes so it’s not like he wouldn’t have anyway.
Much like the NEA “endorsing” the democrat every 4 years like it’s some big deal when that’s the template for them.

An urban Jew opposed to Trump. Shocking.
I hope someone tells him that the Syrian refugees Hillary wants to bring into the country are all for killing Jews like him.
...what kind of moron do you have to be to give someone who has a few billion stashed and away...
a million dollars.....maybe he wants a date with Carlos Danger
I just hope they get soundly beaten at the polls, ushering in a new dawn of Trump, whereby a grand object lesson in common sense is bestowed upon the deserving and the undeserving citizens of sick, broken America, ushering in a Great American Renaissance—Bigger, Better, Stronger and SMARTER than ever before.
Anyway, that’s what I hope. :-)
If anyone else is feeling like throwing $1 million away, let me know, I’ll take it...
This guy/gay may be rich but he isn’t too smart.
Not so much a ‘gift’ as an investment IMHO!
Tell him that the Clintons collect countless millions from regimes where being gay is a capital offense.... wth, he won’t care.
