‘Trump’s remarks about why Khan’s mother wasn’t being allowed to speak’

What did Trump say about WHY the mother wasn’t allowed to speak???

And this time, let’s have the actual quote. Thank you.

Are you, still there, Toliph? I’m waiting.

how much damage has this done to Hillary?

Good point. It has done nothing but help her as it takes the focus off the email scandal, her horrible convention speech, the fact that she has no accomplishments, her responsibility for Benghazi, her proposed tax increases, her desire to never protect our borders, and to bring in as many Muslim radicals into this country as possible. Good thing we're talking about a nobody like Khan instead of Hillary.

Nope, it was not a cheap shot. It was prompted by women everywhere as to why Khan’s wife was not allowed to speak at the DNC. Trump merely voiced the concerns of women.

She was not allowed to speak for a simple reason. She is a Muslim woman. Her husband is an agent of the Muslim Brotherhood. Allowing his wife to speak would have made him look bad in the Muslim world.

American women get it. They are not stupid, and neither is Donald Trump.

How is he supposed to damage Hillary when anytime he says anything his own party grabs his fist and hits him in the face with it?

What the Hell is the point of standing up for people like you?

Not only can you not stand up for yourself, you can’t let anyone stand up for you either, and when someone does, you attack them.

You deserve to lose, loser.

It doesn’t help Hillary at all. When the debated comes around someone will ask Trump about this but the steam will all be gone by then. He can reply that he was against the Iraq war and his opponent, Hillary, voted for it. Boom!

Still not seeing it. Considering what islam does to women, Trumps’s comments seem tame at worst.

No. Those people are static. His only enemy at this time is Hillary. She is the most flawed candidate the dems have nominated since McGovern. Her handlers won't even let her hold a press conference. They have to make the election about anything but her.

Trump needs to focus solely on her flaws. Nothing else matters. The republican base elected Trump. He's winning independents. Trump still has an uphill battle, no doubt, but he needs to stay on message because the Khan issue has done nothing but cause him harm....needlessly. This election needs to be a referendum on Hillary. If so, we win. If not, we lose. Lose this election and we lose the country. It's that simple.

This woman is a plant...she supports Hillary, on Facebook, twitter and everywhere else...she was suppose to embarrass Pence, but the crowd protected him and showed her to what she is...

When asked by NBC News how she would vote in November, however, the woman responded: “I’m still supporting Trump, but it’s not good what he said.”

‘American women get it.’

All of a sudden I’m seeing the light. American women welcome the fact of a man inquiring as to the wellbeing of a muslim woman. The men, otoh, are saying, ‘If only my wife would be so silent and subservient.’

Or so it appears.

A fiver says we haven't heard the entire story re this Capt. Khan.

Well, I saw this:

Capt. Khan paraded his men for inspection before a gate where Iraqi's were entering the base and a car was either parked or driving in...

The story goes Khan told his men to "run", but an eye witness who was there, stated that they had seen the suicide bomber car, and were flattened by it in the explosion and wounded.

The eye witness said nothing about hearing Capt. Khan warning people to get away, because they were almost killed by the attack.

Khan was killed.

Exactly! What’s poor little Khan going to do when Trump is president and the investigation into the Clinton Foundation is prosecuted and finds poor little Khan deeply involved along with the bleeping Saudis...

-- Trump's unforced errors here is legitimate criticism. He should learn from Pence and remain focused on the most unlikable democratic candidate for president in our lifetime, not intentional distractions like Khan. --

It isn't all unforced. The press asks questions.

And in the Khan case, what exactly is the error? The press has created a fiction that Trump is against Khan the soldier, or Khan the father.

Watch how the press handles the pushback which comes from his surrogates. The surrogates have been pointing at Hillary and Hillary's treatment of Mrs. Smith, calling her a liar. Press reaction? Ignore the point, and repeat a lie about Trump.

Whether we like it or not, this is election is inevitably (at least partly) about Trump.

Heck, the press manufactures issues out of whole cloth, how can a candidate avoid that? See the "People say, 'Trump changed the GOP platform to favor Russia'" line of stories. Those petered out after a few weeks - because anybody who looked at the platform would discover that it had not been changed.

And, FWIW, Trump hasn't brought Khan up in a couple days, and he has continued to criticize Hillary, Obama and the press.

Meanwhile, independent research shows some things about Khan that call his motivations for criticizing Trumps immigration policy into question; as well as calling into question the unstated assumption that he just sort of "appeared" and offered his services to the party.

Maybe you’re not watching the polling or maybe you’re not watching what the media is focused on. Trump gave them the welcome opportunity to talk about something other than Hillary’s emails and lies and scandals. Trump allowed this to happen. Instead of talking about the lies, the emails and the scandals, the public is talking about Khan. Not good. This was an unforced error and I hope Trump learns something from Pence. Let Pence deal with the idiots. Trump should focus on one thing and one thing only: Hillary.

the only people I see causing harm to Trump is his own craptastic coward ridden base.

-- .... how much damage has this done to Hillary? --

We won't know the answer because events didn't play out this way, but how much damage would have been done to Trump if the assertions of Khan the father were allowed to stand without being disputed?

If somebody other than Hillary makes a widely publicized false claim about Trump, he should pretend it didn't happen? If asked about it, he should say, what?

> “ I cant believe the people on FR who are running to the Kahn’s defense.”

Note that political boiler rooms do indeed exist.

Note that many of the ‘people on FR’ of whom you mention, were born a short time ago within a week of each other.

This is not new at all on FR. FR almost always outs them and discredits them to the point that they slink away.
