Donald Trump has come under fire for his praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his ties to the country--and he suggested Sunday that he might recognize Russia's control of Crimea.
"You know, the people of Crimea, from what I've heard, would rather be with Russia than where they were," he said on ABC's "This Week." "And you have to look at that, also. Now, that was under -- just so you understand, that was done under Obama's administration. ... Crimea has been taken. Don't blame Donald Trump for that."
Trump made those comments just after saying Putin is "not going into Ukraine."
"Well, look, you know, I have my own ideas. He's not going into Ukraine, OK?" Trump said of Putin. "Just so you understand. He's not going to go into Ukraine, all right? You can mark it down and you can put it down, you can take it anywhere you want."

That is it in a nutshell. Who controls Crimea is of no security interest for the U.S. For those who want to complain, call up Obama.
After centuries of Russian mass murder and deportation in Crimea there just are not many locals left there. I wouldn’t doubt a majority of ethnic Russians living there now would vote to be in Russia. That is a big part of the reason Ukraine gave it up without a fight, IMO.

War isn’t necessary. Crimea will go back to Ukraine the next time Russia collapses. Putinist Russia has no hope and no future. It’s only a matter of time before his kleptocratic Potemkin village collapses.
As opposed to what, declaring war on Russia and invading Crimea to take it back?
The time to do something was before Russia invaded Crimea. Obama owns it now.
Trump has been successful by trusting his instincts. He likes Putin; that good enough for me.
We don’t have a lot of choice in the matter, unless we as a country want to get neck deep into battle with the Russians. I don’t think anybody wants that in either party, not even Obama. It is Iran who we should have gone to war with, long before that strange (already violated by the Iranians) ‘deal’ was struck by John Kerry.
Considering that Crimea is 90% RUSSIAN, just who should administer it, other than Russia?

HarleyLady channel surfing last night came across Beck with his chalkboard and pictures of Manafort, Assange, Putin, some other Russian guy, linking the whole email hacking together through Manafort, Beck says he doesn’t believe Trump KNOWS what is going on but this IS all about Putin wanting to take over the WORLD!!!! Beck has gone OFF the deep end!!! I believe Putin wants a Trump presidency due to NATO, I think Putin is ENTIRELY against the NWO HE WAS FOR BREXIT in a big way!!!! It IS entirely possible that Putin DOES want a Trump presidency but NOT for the reasons EVERYONE thinks!!!! I believe Putin IS AGAINST GLOBALISM!!!
