PPP's new national poll, taken completely after both party's conventions, finds that Hillary Clinton emerged with a much more positive image than she had a month ago. Donald Trump meanwhile is just as unpopular as he was before the conventions.

Seems to be all pre-debate polling it utterly irrelevant.

They didn’t poll secret service agents. I predict many of them will quit if Hillary wins.
Er, no. They undersampled Is massively in this, by about 8 points. They also slightly oversampled Ds.
No one in any kind of government job will quit. The FBI for example after the “server investigation”. No one wants to get off the federal job gravy train.
She’s finished. After her own convention she can only hit 46% in the PPP poll which is a Democratic firm that announces themselves as such. Trump is still winning Independents by 7 in this poll and they can still only manufacture a 5 point lead. Believe me, she is done amd Trump will win comfortably. She should be polling a 10-15 pt lead with the fawning press and name recognition she has. She is in deep deep trouble.

Agree - expected bump. Her support is VERY SOFT - this will quickly fade.
They have Is (where Trump leads by 20) as 21%. In 2012 they were 29. They have a 7% D advantage. Probably 5% is more likely.

Yeah, but they undersample Is by a whopping 8% and oversample Ds by at least 1%, maybe 2%. That’s a Trump lead right there.

True, they may not quit, but they will desperately seek a job in a different part of government. Some of them, the party boys who think they are cool because they are Secret Service, will stay and put up with the Wicked Witch of the West Wing. Even those guys will avoid being on her detail if they can.

I see absolutely no bump as even remotely possible for clinton. The convention was in shambles, chaiman fired, anti Sander rigging fully exposed, Sanders fuming is the crowd. The terrorist organization, only “Black live matter” shouting down a moment of silence for ambushed and assassinated law officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge, And a poorly delivered mediocre speech by what looked like the Pillsbury dough boy. No, I see Trump surging.
Maybe so. Makes sense. Still, debates will obliterate all that came before.

And remember, some of the last precincts to report last time had 130% of the registered voters voting, and every single vote for obama. Not one vote for anyone else. Not one peep from the republican, crickets from the media, and dead silence from the FEC.
