Bill’s desperate bid to humanize Hillary shows fear she might lose

Here’s a fact to chew on: Much of Day Two at the convention was spent trying to humanize Hillary Clinton. After 25 years in public life, she feels the need to tell us she cares.

A parade of speakers warmed up the crowd by telling stories about her compassion, some of it very long ago. Getting money for New Yorkers after 9/11, helping children get health insurance, securing health care for veterans.

This being a coronation, the circumstances grew in grandeur with each telling, until they made her sound like Mother Teresa. She’s so profoundly kind and tireless and honest and so full of grace, “she defies gravity.”

But wait, there’s more — she’s tough, too. Single-handedly, she practically made peace in the Mideast, forged progress on climate change, and forced Iran to the negotiating table.

If that superhuman doesn’t sound like the Hillary you know, or the world as you know it, well, Bill Clinton showed up to to swear it was all true, and then some.

The idea of Billbo recounting this incredibly saccharine “boy meets girl” story is really beyond any micro level of shamelessness.

I found it interesting, since that was exactly what the RNC attempted to do with its candidate four years ago: to humanize Mitt Romney. It failed, of course, in part because he threw the race, but also in part because Republicans are never supposed to be presented as human, and the MSM knows this.

The good gnus is that it is failing this year as well for Hillary, in part because there is very little in her to humanize (which is a tragedy from a human standpoint and a terror from a political one), and in part because the Dems want Hillary to lose, but in such a way as to not look like they want Hillary to lose, so that the Clintons can be removed from the party once and for all, the True Believers can take over, and the Savior of America from Demon Trump can arise in 2020.

Putin sent her a big red “RESET” button last night with this note, “ Use this to start the week over before I released those nasty emails. Remember Hillary that I have all the DNC and private server emails. You now are my slave and will serve me. Now kneel, slave.”

Once we get to the debates, I predict a meltdown the likes of which has never been seen in American politics.

Hillary has been shielded from direct confrontation by someone willing to take the gloves off her entire life. The closest she’s ever came to that is Congressional hearings, and nobody watches those, so she was able to stonewall her way through it. That won’t work during the debates with the entire world watching.

Oh, she cares all right. She cares in just the right ways to make herself more wealthy and more powerful, using fake compassion as a springboard into fame and fortune, and the US Government as her chief enabler.

I really surprised myself last night by feeling embarrassed for Bill Clinton. I thought, “I shouldn’t feel at all embarrassed FOR this guy. As an American citizen, I should feel embarrassed BY him.”
