Ansbach bombing: MPs call for faster migrant deportations (Germany)

MPs say the deportation of failed asylum seekers must be sped up following the Ansbach suicide bombing. The Syrian man who detonated an explosive-packed rucksack had been refused permission to stay in Germany.

Although German Chancellor Angela Merkel last year proudly declared a “welcoming culture” for refugees, Armin Schuster, the Christian Democrats homeland expert in the Bundestag, warned the country needs a “farewell culture” too.

Schuster told the Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Stuttgarter Nachrichten newspapers Tuesday that Germany had failed to enforce the deportation of rejected asylum seekers. More than 200,000 failed claimants were still in the country, he said. …

“More than 200,000 failed claimants were still in the country...”

I’ve been to Germany. It’s no bigger than all of Wisconsin! That’s a HUGE number of infidels who were ALLOWED IN!

When will Ms. Merkel pick up the White Courtesy Phone in the Lobby, I wonder?

Germany comprises 137,903 square miles whereas Wisconsin’s area is 65,498 square miles. Now Germany’s average population density is higher than Wisconsin’s (235 people per square mile versus 82 respectively), and of course a million more in “refugees” will bloat that number especially in the cities.

What the hell is a “failed asylum seeker”?
Is that what they are now calling Islamic jihadists who have murdered innocent civilians?

It’s like he didn’t study hard enough to be a successful asylum seeker.

They’d willingly toss themselves in. Especially to this kind of situation.

” More than 200,000 failed claimants were still in the country, ....”

Just over 72 years ago, the Germans failed to expel about 160,000 “migrants” (most of them “boat people”) from Normandy. We know how that turned out for them. Apparently, even that experience didn’t teach the Germans the value of secure borders.

“What the hell is a “failed asylum seeker”?”

One whose application is denied.

They let them in, they did not qualify under German law, and now no other country wants to take them.

The Germans (like us) are bound by lengthy legal and appeals processes to forcibly deport anyone.

The German populace will be left to deal with this, and much more.
They don’t have a choice.

It’s an invasion force. Germany is getting a taste of what they did to the rest of Europe during WW II.

Interesting.. I thought originally they could deport them back to the Country they entered the EU in. My memory is failing, did the border countries pass a change? If you have a weak border, as a country, why wouldn’t you be responsible? I know we are headed the same place. It will be like Israel, rockets and bombers in the soft target spots every week, every day. And it will be, our whiteness to blame /sarc.

They are supposed to deport them back to the country where they entered the EU (I think Bulgaria in this case), or the applicants country of origin.

Bulgaria, and many other EU countries, only allowed the mobs in originally because Germany said they would take them. They now don’t want to be saddled with them.

Many of the countries of origin are also throwing up obstacles, or are considered by Germany to be too dangerous to force deportations. And Germany just has itself bound in decades of Leftist constructed red tape, which can slow the process into a muti-year effort.

The legal landscape has changed significantly this year, and more changes are being considered. The big one was the change in executive policy - from wide open offers of refugee status (guaranteeing immediate and open-ended welfare support, and citizenship) to temporary temporary asylum (two year shelter).

The Balkan countries raised fences, and the inflow today is only a few percent of what it was last year, but the outflow is only a trickle as well. That is what folks are calling for now. Auslanders Aus! - Speedy deportations.
