Pittsburgh Police Chief Cameron McLay will be one of the primetime speakers at Tuesday's Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
He's expected to speak sometime between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., after former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. McLay will be followed by actor Tony Goldwyn, who plays the president on the TV show 'Scandal.'
According to a release by Mayor Bill Peduto's office, McLay will speak about Pittsburgh's efforts to adopt the best practices on community policing.
Pittsburgh is one of six cities nationwide participating in the U.S. Department of Justice's National Initiative for Building Community Trust and Justice.
Mayor Peduto is attending the DNC as an elected delegate for the 14th Congressional District.

I just finished writing in another thread how the DNC made some incredible missteps, by placing center stage all these left-wingers & their rhetoric. It has been a total turn-off to anyone remotely mainstream.
Even 20 years ago the Dems were pretty liberal. Now they look like a party of total crackpots.

My Millennial daughter, who is not particularly political, watched this yesterday and told me “these people are insane, Trump is going to win.”
In spite of my ambivalence toward him, these people make me want to vote for him.
My prediction: there will be a mad scramble to find as many conservative-looking people as possible to place at the front of the stage, within view of the cameras.
Q. How do you find the most Conservative looking people at a Democrat Convention?
