Advisors to Hillary Clinton are worried that Democratic white men are lying to pollsters and secretly plan to vote for Republican Donald Trump.
"I worry that there is a bit of a secret Trump vote," said influential pollster Celinda Lake.
She has proof revealed in polls that find more white male support when live people are doing the interviewing and less support for Clinton in anonymous online surveys.
"The pattern is in the online surveys, even if you control for demographics, Trump does three to nine points better than in telephone surveys. So it really does suggest that there is a secret vote for Donald Trump," said Lake

Now why would blue collar workers such as coal miners vote for Trump when they could vote for Hillary who has promised to destroy the economy?

Celinda Lake is the openly Dem half of the dual partisan Battleground Poll(IIRC). She has never been presumed nonpartisan.

I know a woman who called every member of her family, cousins, etc. who believe in God begging them to pray for her daughter. It seems her daughter had been married to a conservative for 10 years but he had been lying to her. But he just couldn’t vote for Obama so he came clean.
The prayer request was for her daughter being so devastated. Not because her husband had been lying to her all those years. She was devastated because he was a republican! And, she wanted the prayer to include the guy seeing the error of his ways and becoming a democrat.
Can’t trust white men. Period.
Not even Democrat white men. This is proof.
It’s racist and sexist. Why would it be limited to white men?
I lie to them just to screw them up. If they are stupid enough to keep calling, I’ll continue to keep lying to them.
Sad to say, I am tight lipped when it comes to politics when friends these days. I am super tired of the usual racist, sexist, homophobe, anti science, islamaphope, uneducated, rube, and the instantaneous hiss, when I even utter one or two sentences. For one, I am much more educated than these schlubs, I am almost 50 and I keep my math skills from algebra to calculus and beyond in tip top shape, and keep up on latest programming languages and technology daily for part of my job. I am passionate about history, math, engineering and science, and when I am not working, sleeping, or wandering, I am reading 24/7. I have traveled through 36 countries, most third world and have worked in about a third of them. I have both copyrights and patents, and first crossed the six figure threshold at work in the late nineties while in my late twenties (I started at 21k in 1992 for the same company I work at today). But I am stupid, anti science, and my opinion after a lifetime of experience is to be mocked and instantly silenced by any means necessary and I am the bad guy if I do not shut up immediately to keep the peace since my views are by default offensive. This is why there is a Trump, after the utter unbelievable disappointment that there does not exist words to adequately describe of our Republican “Majorities” to at the very least obstruct O’Bunghole, but in reality there is not a single important bill that did not pass the senate without a minimum of 90% democrat support, we quiet, get along types are just finally done and will relish the day that all of these people who have been working their ass off to bring the US down to the third world, will have their collective heads explode and will screech and yell and cry non stop 24/7 for 8 years no matter what Trump does even if they would have had parades had Obama done it. That day shaudenfraud will be the sweetest flavor on earth. /long drunken rant off

I wouldn’t bet on this. In 2008, people were hoping that whites were lying about supporting Obama.
As a conservative, never offer information to the press, they will use it against you if they can.
I think the opposite happened with women and Obama - namely, women voting for Obama but telling their right-leaning hubby that they voted GOP.
I sense this election year that folks are going to vote for Trump, but regardless of where you live you have to keep it quiet. Blue states big time. I have only seen one sign offering support for Trump, but that was it.
That was then, this is now. It is 8 years later.
