He wrote: "Earlier drafts I saw also included a driving political purpose: that mass immigration was the way that the Government was going to make the UK truly multicultural. "I remember coming away from some discussions with the clear sense that the policy was intended – even if this wasn't its main purpose – to rub the Right's nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date." The "deliberate policy", from late 2000 until "at least February last year", when the new points based system was introduced, was to open up the UK to mass migration, he said. Some 2.3 million migrants have been added to the population since then, according to Whitehall estimates quietly slipped out last month.

Old article but it hasn't been posted, and what it discusses is incredibly important.

One of the times when a leftist candidly reveals the extent to which lies, deceptions, and propaganda are used to force through policies which a democratic public would not have approved. In this case he admits that they were hiding the truth even from their own Labour Party's voters, never mind the opposition conservatives.

This has been done in the USA, UK, and other countries -- forcing through changes surreptitiously with the majority of the public never would have approved. So much for democratic values...... never mind honest, decency, respect for western civilization.....

Lol. Right-o. Just like Algerians have made France more attractive and Syrians have made Germany more attractive. By now they should be among the most attractive places on earth. And what says "cosmopolitan" more than the Moslem sections of town?

Leftists and their Moslem bedfellows are both committed to the same goal -- destroying Western civ. The Left out of misplaced and irrational collective guilt, and the Moslems out of hatred and envy.

I remember this statement too. THIS IS WHO THEY ARE and this is PRECISELY what they intend in the United States.

One of the reasons that I’ve always agreed that Democrats are much smarter than Republicans (at least at the leadership level) is that they are able to understand the END GAME of Immigration (legal and otherwise), whereas Republicans have a MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TIME understanding the same.

When a good-looking young guy like Rubio shows up and says that the best way for Republicans to be competitive in the future is to legalize (and import) 30 MILLION new Democrat voters, SOMEONE in our party’s leadership needs to tell Rubio to shut up and GO TO HELL - but instead they listen to him and many become hypnotized to his TOTALLY IRRATIONAL swan song, even Rush, at times.

It’s basically the political equivalent of sending your 8 year old daughter alone to meet with a serial rapist, in order to learn sex education. In other words, there are ways reach Hispanics, other than destroying the country in the process.

That makes as much sense as turning my body into a more diverse multicultural/multi-species ecosystem. Add some botulism, a little plague, and Ebola, and my bloodstream would be much more diverse. Why would a sensible person want that?

I understand that, as a (soon-to-be-former) member of the EU and the free movement of people from other member nations, Britain had no real control over immigration levels. But what about immigration from non-EU nations, like those peaceful Pakistanis who ran/run the rape ring in Rotherham?

Has Britain done anything to cut immigration from Asia, and Africa, or from non-EU nations in general? Culturally, non-EU immigration is a much bigger threat than Eastern Europeans. Of course, with Muslims flooding into Europe, and with Turkey on the verge of being made a member, it was still a good choice for Brits to vote for Brexit.
