Donald Trump made clear this weekend that he has not rolled back his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States, despite top allies insisting that he had.
In accepting the Republican nomination on Thursday night, Trump said the country "must immediately suspend immigration from any nation that has been compromised by terrorism until such time it's proven that vetting mechanisms have been put in place." Trump made no mention of Muslims in the speech, leading many to conclude that Trump had formally changed his position — just as a number of his top allies, including his running mate, said he had.
During an interview this weekend with NBC's "Meet the Press," host Chuck Todd asked Trump whether his comment should be interpreted as a "slight rollback."

Trump is sticking by his plan to protect this country from any and all threats. The main threat to us now is from Muslims. That is a fact. If truly peaceful Muslims want to come here, they must demonstrate to us that they are not a threat. And this demonstration should be to a high degree of certainty. This is our country, not theirs.

I’ll bet there are many illegal alien muslims hiding in the United States. All they have to do is get a visa, get off the plane and disappear into the population. Notice how most of the 9-11 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia? Coincidence? How can you know if the immigrants papers are legal if a corrupt muslim country may be giving visas to their jihadi favorites.
Every Muslim who came here since the First Gulf War should be carefully re-vetted.

I mean my God, it couldn’t go any better for him right now, the Hillary emails, the blatant corruption with her husband meeting with Lynch and then she gets off, and then email leak on Debbie Whatshername Schultz which totally confirmed what Trump said about the race being rigged against Sanders. I have a feeling the DNC is going to be a disaster, it’s going to come across as ridiculously phony and then we have the DEBATES and Trump has an unbelievable amount of ammunition against Hillary, I really can’t see him losing but who knows what will go down in the next 3 months.
