As an early Cruz fan I was heartbroken at Ted’s behavior. It was political suicide, but Trump’s attention and resources must be focused elsewhere

The idea that Trump is going to set up an anti Cruz/Kasich PAC is more MSM BS and disinformation. It all stems from the remarks that Trump made to the Ohio volunteers the day after the convention. I watched the entire thing. TRUMP WAS JOKING when he mentioned setting up a PAC. He and the audience were laughing.

Does anyone know if the Ted Cruz dad pictures with Oswald are true? Did we ever get any explanation what he was doing with him?

If it was my dad I would want an explanation and find out why of all people you were hanging out with Lee Harvey Oswald? Was there a connection?

Excellent and true. Imagine Nazis demanding to be let in in 1942, for example.

The whole thing reeks of moronic stupidity and foolishness.

Understood. I was paraphrasing Trump, and that's about what he said (Our constitution is great but it doesn't give us the right to commit suicide.)

It was obvious from his amplification that he agrees that there is no constitutional impediment to closing the borders, even to Europeans.

Now that is funny. Add to that she paid $10,000 for that rug. Must be nice to be filthy rich.

Rod, this was installment 1 from Wikileaks. If Assange releases what he says he has on Hillary, it will cause a firestorm nationally. Timing is everything. The first installment has already shook up the Dem convention with the Bernie supporters going berserk and the Washerlady will probably be forced to resign as the sacrificial lamb.

He's addressed it since then, even "today" (taped interview, I think).

Just saying that the observation and consideration of opposing Kasich and Cruz in the future has more basis than only the remarks that Trump made to the Ohio volunteers the day after the convention.

ill is talking about anger. People are angry. Doesn’t he get it? Will makes me sick.<

One would think that with the nomination of Trump and Sanders strong showing, Will would understand the anger out there. This is the year of the outsider, anti-Washington candidate. The political class is hated.

Wallace is vile. He poses as moderate and objective, but he is totally in the tank for the Demagogues.

Cruz and Kasich are gambling Trump will lose. Their problem may be that they are blamed if Trump loses.

Correct on both counts.

A Cruz endorsement would surely be worth a few thousand votes. Perhaps a few tens of thousands of votes.

If this election is close and we lose Cruz will be blamed. He will have traded (his view of) his wife's honor for the preservation of the United States as a republic. Supreme Court gone for decades if not forever. Rule by fiat from the White House.

Very bad trade. Very bad. Idiotic.

I don’t know if the person in the picture is Cruz’s father or not. It’s an old picture and I certainly cannot tell.

Having said that, I’d feel better had Cruz told us it was not his father. Ted Cruz’ silence makes me think the picture is true.

“Speaking of Fishtalk... Pat, where are you?”

Let’s hope that she had a hot date last night with a guy she found at the Baptist Church and is lying in bed right now having a smoke.

NOT supporting the Shah of Iran led directly to the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the Ayatollah Khomeini, the Wahhabis counter revolution, the rise of Saddam Hussein, Soviets in Afghanistan, CIA support for the Mujahedeen, Osama bin Laden, invasion of Kuwait, Desert Storm, US troops in Saudi Arabia, World Trade Center 1993, Khobar Towers, Nairobi Embassy, USS Cole, 9/11. And of course, this current Islamic scourge continues to this day.

You are right about Iran. I was posted in Tehran during the Iranian Revolution. I was there when the Shah left and when Khomeini came in. We are still dealing with the effects to this very day. They are too numerous to list.

There is no doubt that Ford or any Rep would have aided the Shah rather than facilitate his removal. Carter greased the skids for the removal of the Shah and Khomeini hijacked the Revolution.

Obama did something similar in Egypt. Thankfully, the Egyptian military led by General Sisi was able to oust Morsi and regain control over the government. Still, US influence has been lessened in Egypt after so many years of us eliminating Soviet influence in the ME. The Russians are now back in, another failure of Obama.

Did not realize the Pledge had a wife’s honor clause in it. What other clauses were in the pledge? A hurt feelings or sore loser’s clause?

What else were you lying about Ted?

The Pledge is another reason we don’t need more politicians in the White House.
