The mother of the U.S. ambassador killed in the 2012 Benghazi attacks called on Republicans to stop invoking her son on Friday, blasting their references to his death as “opportunistic and cynical.”
“As Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens’s mother, I am writing to object to any mention of his name and death in Benghazi, Libya, by Donald Trump’s campaign and the Republican Party,” Mary F. Commanday wrote in a letter to the editor published in the New York Times Friday.

She is one of those die hard liberals that can’t have the other side use her loss for what she thinks is their gain, regardless of truth.
Her son requested more security and he was not important enough to receive it. Obviously Hillary did not think he was worth saving either.
Sorry for your loss...but he was a public figure and the event involves massive deception by a Presidential candidate. It WILL be discussed.
He was an important public figure murdered by terrorists. She doesn’t get to control the political discourse about the event. She is just shilling for the Democrats.
It’s so sad that she is more concerned to help Hillary’s campaign than to find out why her son really died. Also, it’s about far more than her son. It’s about the other 3 Americans who died there that night, the dozens more who nearly died, the brave men who risked their lives trying to save her son and everyone present, etc.
Then ofc there are the broader issues of US foreign policy, war on terror, involvement in Libya and the Middle East, etc.
She ought to be a lot more concerned about how to prevent more catastrophes than about protecting Hillary’s campaign from criticism.

By accepting the ambassadorship all actions taken by Mr. Stevens in his official capacity, including the events surrounding his death, are part of the public record and subject to scrutiny - political and otherwise.
I morn her loss, but she’s way out of line.

Charles Strange, the father of slain SEAL Michael Strange, told Savage that in June 2011, on at least three separate occasions his son grabbed him by the bicep and announced that he had prepared his will.
The bewildered father finally was able to find out what it all meant.
Michael Strange, his father recalled, said: “Something’s going on with the team. Somebody’s leaking things out. Something’s going on.”
Savage, reacting with emotion, asked: “Your son knew he was being sent to his death?”

Other families of the victims have reported similar experiences with their sons the last time they saw them, Strange said.
Strange said documents related to the crash that he obtained show that, among other anomalies, the rescue team was held back.
“This was all planned,” he said. “I have it in the paperwork.”
Strange affirmed that there was no chase helicopter or any other kind of support for the team.
“So, you’re saying they planned to execute your son and the others on purpose?” Savage asked.
“One hundred percent, sir,” Strange replied.
There was a recent thread posted that claimed Steven's had a 'female' fiancée . I think the homo claim was planted by the liberals, as to why he was murdered. There are so many lies about the Clinton weapons depot in Benghazi by the sea.
I think the obfuscation is from the other direction. Stevens was part of the Chicago millieu— strange that four years have passed, and now the story of Stevens’ sexuality is debated? The sources I read in 2012 were rightward, and said that he was an advocate for gay men. Did Stevens’ family ever address the claims about his sexuality? More likely, those around Stevens are being paid to muddy the issue, and to distract from the devastating testimony of those losing sons in Benghazi-/
