Networks on Trump: A ‘Dark Speech’ From a ‘Vengeful’ ‘Demagogue’

The three networks on Thursday night immediately derided Donald Trump’s “dark speech” as one coming from a “vengeful” “demagogue.” On NBC, Tom Brokaw allowed that “some” will see Trump as on a “white horse who will lead them to some kind of sanctuary and then pull the drawbridge up.” But he sneered, “Others looking in are going to see someone they will only think as a demagogue of some kind.”

Chuck Todd labeled, “I thought it was an extraordinarily dark speech.” Republican operative Nicolle Wallace lamented, “We are now represented as a party by a man who believes in protectionism, isolationism and nativism.”

Over on CBS, Evening News anchor Scott Pelley immediately dismissed, “It was a loud voice, more vengeful than hopeful. More hyperbole than details.” This Morning co-host Charlie Rose huffed that the address had “little appeal to the better angels.”

Trump's speech was all about specifics. He is going to create order where we now have anarchy and assassination of our police. He is going to quickly stop ISIS from infiltration and creating terror in this nation. He is going to make trade agreements which will be fair to our nation and our people. He is going to create jobs and repair our disintegrating infrastructure. He is going to see to it that our veterans do not die while they wait for healthcare. He is going to move to be sure that every child has a good education and he is going to build a fence to keep out the people who need to come here legally and not illegally so that we can know who they are and where they come from. He is going to restore law and order and that sounds great to Americans who think this country is going in the wrong direction. The main thing he will do is to take the power out of the hands of the super wealthy from here and other nations who are pulling the strings of the Democrat party for their own benefit at the expense of this nation and it's people.

Does anyone here really believe they’d give this convention generally, and Trump specifically, a fair hearing?

That none of them liked it says so much about Media Bias!

However, let me make a prediction: No matter how awful, whether by delivery or by words, they will absolutely ADORE Hillary’s acceptance speech, love Bill Clinton’s address, and find the democrat convention a breath of fresh air after the hell that was this week. Bank on it.

The liberal media clearly had their talking points coordinated before the speech and no matter what Trump had to say they were going to call it “dark” and scary.

True, I heard on local media that the national media were packing up and getting ready to leave even before the speech was over.
