Thanking his volunteers in Cleveland a day after the Republican National Convention wrapped, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump today slammed Ted Cruz's Wednesday night speech and said he “will not accept” if the Texas senator ever decides to endorse him.

"He'll come and endorse over the next little while. It's because he has no choice," Trump said. "But I don't want his endorsement. What difference does it make?"

"Ted, just stay home, relax, enjoy yourself," Trump.

Very good points. A very costly internal war.

Ted Cruz has burned major bridges through PRIDE. TRUMP is
simply letting him know that NOTHING he does now will
furnish him with any kind of place in a
TRUMP ADMINISTRATION. - Now, Ted can just rest. He can make
a career for himself as a lawyer and make a living that way.
IF he can be re-elected to the Senate, well and good; but
that is a BIG “IF”.

whoa...

Glad Trump cleared the air over Ted’s remarks about his wife and daddy being attacked by DJT.

Ted’s boys started that photo event by send an ad with a HOT photo of DJT wife when she was a Model...so trump boy just sent out a side by side photo of both women..you be the judge..
Ted just took a mole hill and tried to make it a Mountain. As for his dad...His history is enough said..He is not a man of good character..He was married to another woman, when he impregnated Ted into his mom..SHE GAVE BIRTH AS AN UNMARRIED WOMAN.
NOW TED’S RECORDS LIKE B.HUSSEIN OBAMA, ARE UNDER LOCK AND KEY...

ENOUGH SAID...

(proves, there are always two sides to every story, right?)

Here’s what “distinguished” panelists on Fox News think of Trump. Next time you see these two asses remember these words from them about Trump.

The man Republicans rallied in support of this week is a crazy conspiracy theorist. The attempt to normalize him is a disgrace.

Newt deserves a big thumbs up and oat on the back

To put things in perspective, for a Politician, giving a keynote speech at a Presidential Convention is career defining event at least equal to an actor or musician receiving an Oscar or Emmy Award- only with very high stakes and a hundred times the pressure.

Its really scary getting up an giving a televised speech (from memory, no teleprompter ) in a high pressure environment to a nation audience of millions. No matter who you are or how much experience you have the butterflies are swarming in your stomach and and you need to stop and hit the head for an NP before getting on stage and stepping up to the podium

Anything disruption that knocks you off your game could cause you to choke on stage which is your worst nightmare.

Yet Newt brilliantly re drafted his speech between Cruz and Newt's slot and to include his remarks on Cruz's speech and then gave it from memory to a national televised audience un rehearsed and under serious pressure to a national televised audience.

That's not just tough, that's double tough.

If that's the way it really went down, its kind of like the political equivalent of hitting a bases loaded home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the tied World Series by one point

This unfortunately is Trump's sour grapes moment. This is nothing more than sulking on his part. It is evidence for the fact that Ted still lives in his head.

It's like the Megyn Kelly thing last summer. Kelly is a loser, but he just wouldn't let go of the thing and spun himself into petulance. He should have let it go. It's embarrassing to himself and his supporters.

He needs to get over the fact that Cruz chose not to endorse him.

Move on, Donald.

Grow up.

You have an election to win.

Liar Cruz belongs in Court, with his father being
deposed for the murder of JFK and its coverup.

Steve Hayes sounds just like what the democrat convention theme is going to be...Demo. liberal Doug S. stated that last night..(very late last night to Eric Shaw)

Steve Hayes certainly has been a disappointment to me and so has Brit Hume..there was a day I appreciated the remarks they made, that day is now over.

I have this feeling now that Trump has the nomination he will go rogue.

Are you expecting that there will be more championing of LGBTQ "victimhood?"

An otherwise great speech was soiled by his coaxing conservatives' endorsement of this part of his message.

The co-opted Conventioneers were only too willing to climb on-board. Peter Thiel was probably giddy.

He's got to stop trying to ingratiate himself and conservatives in general to the LGBTQ victimhood class.

Trump gives Cruz some great advice. Sadly, Cruz isn’t smart enough to give it a moment’s thought.

First, I can’t praise Newt sufficiently. The more I think about what he did, the more amazed and impressed I am.

Second, not to nitpick, but Newt did use a teleprompter. There is a screenshot of it making the rounds. The displayed words underscore and emphasize Cruz’ endorsement of Trump.

Think about that for a minute. First, it affirms that Cruz sneakily and deceitfully switched his vetted speech for an entirely different one. (This has been confirmed.) Second, it means that the smooth, flowing, brilliantly effective lines Newt spoke ran entirely counter to what he was seeing on his teleprompter.

Talk about astonishing! Newt takes that award in a walk!

Here’s a link to the full story. Props to Gingrich!

To the degree Cruz displayed (once again) personal ambition over the lofty ideals and goals he’s supposed to represent, Trump’s slap down will help Trump and all of us. Enough of political demography and ambition at our expense.

“He was probably asked about it by the press/audience...”

Then all he needed to do was say “Ted’s Ted,” and then say, “Next question.”

My understanding was that Newt did not have time to get his edits loaded on the teleprompter and had to improvised and include the changes from memory and then merge with the original content on the prompt screen which is actually more difficult
