In what was perhaps one of the most violent clashes yet between police and protesters outside the Republican National Convention, a protester accidentally set himself on fire trying to be a bad ass and burn an American flag.
While protesters were yelling “Burn that rag!” a Cleveland police officer reportedly began shouting, “You’re on fire! You’re on fire, stupid!” at the protester whipping around the burning flag that had to be extinguished by firefighters before more people caught on fire.

Supervised protesting isn’t fun.
That may be the reason for the drop in protestors.

The police said the biggest problem they had was the reporters. They would have 20 protesters and 80 media to push through to get there.
In 1970, the president of Occidental College, where I was a student, ordered the American flag lowered to half-mast after learning that some anti-Vietnam War protesters were killed while battling police at Kent State University in Ohio. With the flag almost within reach, a few students decided to pull it down and burn it. But when they tried to cut it off the flag pole using some sort of knife, one of them slashed his arm and had to be rushed to the hospital. The flag remained and wasn’t burned.
Since when did leftist revolutionaries all wear matching shirts? Did a union pay for them? George Soros? Or a federal grant to a community action group?
Who were those post-hippie a’holes? A generous squirt of charcoal lighter fluid would have provided a teachable moment for them.
He’s a Clintoon supporter. He has to depend on others to tell him that he set his own ass on fire. LOL.
Shoulda let him roast. He would eventually figured it out and run to his safe space.

Cleveland police chief was responding to the report that people were arrested for burning the flag and the Revolutionary Communist protestors were demanding their release so they could return to the protest line.
Police chief responded: “No one was arrested for burning the flag, but they were arrested, after the officers put them and the flag out, for fighting.”
Would be funnier if someone had a 7-11 Slurpy cup full of gas or lighter fluid and tossed to him to put it out.
