Plenty of them do call the police and complain that there is not enough police presence in their neighborhoods.
I had a black friend who lived in an apartment building in a small town. There was a murder in that apartment building. She called the police, not because she was involved in the crime at all, but because she was scared to go home after that incident, and wanted to know if it would be safe. It was a domestic violence incident; she was able to go home safely.
It is only a few “activists” who are more interested in amassing power through fomenting strife that complain about the police.
Character implies responsibility for choices made. Inferior choices indicate inferior character. Yours is quite the liberal, progressive viewpoint. Always some excuse, never hold them accountable — if you did, you’d have to acknowledge inferiority — so they remain as essentially children either way, really, no?

There are lots of people making bad choices. I don’t happen to think, as Chrissie obviously does, that anyone’s skin tone dooms anyone to commit crime or excuses the crime they do.

Where did I say anything about skin tone? I’m talking about biology, race, not mere phenotype. Extended phenotype, if you must, as some view culture. And you certainly are intending to excuse the high correlation at issue, otherwise you’d acknowledge the egregiously inferior rates of responsible conduct.
