Ted Cruz Is Readying for 2020
The Atlantic ^ | Jul 6, 2016 | Nora Kelly

Ted Cruz’s 2016 presidential campaign ended just two months ago. But his campaign for next cycle is already getting started.

According to a report Wednesday in National Review, the Texas senator is making big changes inside and outside of his Senate office to ready his political operation for a 2020 run. Cruz has been “conspicuously silent” recently, the report notes, but behind the scenes has “supervis[ed] the vast expansion of his electoral enterprise, integrating the operations of his campaign team,” and has instituted staffing changes to reflect his long-term goals.

Among them is Cruz’s decision to bring on a longtime Republican campaign operative—with no Hill-office experience—as his Senate chief of staff. His current chief is departing to work as a senior adviser to two new Cruz-aligned nonprofit groups

Ted Cruz cares only about himself and his plan to run for president in 2020. That is his focus. he wants Trump to lose badly so Trump will be out of the picture in 2020.

Good luck with that after last night.

So any one signed on his e-mail list will still get spam e-mails begging for more money for 2020.

Have at it.

Ted is truly a manipulative and delusional person. He had a great chance to unite the party, to every ones benefit. He failed himself, the party and his nation by choosing the most selfish route.

Just posted this elsewhere but it goes here more better...

A colossal blunder by Cruz - his myopic vision only sees things in terms of himself.

Cruz quite simply is going back on his word. And trying to defend it with principles. Then he even went back on that when he said it was personal (Trump attacked his wife and dad).

I feel sorry for him he is clearly in pain. So much so that his thinking is clouded.

He’s through. Even if Hillary wins, Cruz is through. I sent him money - I supported him early, never bashed him. But dang he screwed the pooch on this and he is done. The commercials of him pledging and repledging to support the nominee then not doing so, being booed off the stage, then taking question after question about not fulfilling his pledge are already being made by Cruz’s opponents in 2 years.

He’s done

Ted knows he can only run if he helps Hillary win

If Trump doesn’t win, I don’t want to hear any crap in 2020 that we must vote for Cruz “for the party.”

Well, I doubt Sheldon Adelson will be financing him.

I wonder how many others won't be?

Can't have a campaign without cash.

Maybe Goldman Sachs will float him.

Cruz went full Latin with this vendetta. He did it in the senate and now with the GOP.

Ted Cruz cares only about himself and his plan to run for president in 2020

He can plan all he likes, after last night's speech, Cruz won't win a single state primary in the next election. Everyone except his most die-hard supporters are disgusted by how petty and vindictive Cruz turned out to be, including many people who didn't even support Trump in the primaries.

If Ted Cruz is really dedicated to making a change in America he should have gone into negotiations with Trump and offered enthusiastic support in exchange for a Supreme Court seat where he would be able to serve at his best for decades to come.

It really isn’t a consideration for me about that because I won’t live that long to see it. But based on what he’s done, I have no hope for what he will or won’t do in the aftermath of this. I’m really at the point where I chalk up all this Cruz stuff to the same “Paul” mania that exists in some vestiges still today.

Well if that’s what he wanted, he certainly didn’t help that cause last night... he probably gave Trump a nice bump in the polls as some of his hold out supporters probably had their last straw... and will now vote Trump.

Nationally I don’t see Cruz ever being a serious player again... he’s damaged himself over and over again with his behavior this campaign. I know its politics, never say never, but I just don’t see Cruz as anything more than an also ran ever in the future.

He has proven he is a one trick pony. He is pretty good at poking a stick in the spokes and sometimes that is needed but he is incapable of discerning the appropriate time to do so.

"There are six things that the LORD strongly dislikes, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers." — Proverbs 6:16–19
