Adelson must have taken Ted’s advice and voted his conscience.

Cruz should not have pledged to endorse the winner if he could only support “conservatives.”

I would guess this means Cruz wouldn’t have endorsed Jeb, right?

Ted Cruz is so fundamentally dishonest, his shadow actually corkscrews when he walks. ;)

It’s possible that Cruz did more to unify the GOP than he intended. His self-serving performance is being pretty much universally condemned.

Twirling for Conscience.

Vote your conscience Ted said, over and over.

Conscience vote to unbind delegates was rejected.

Ted blew it.

He did indeed. Trump is a master of what’s called owning the downside. In this case he made sure that he benefited from either Cruz endorsing or not endorsing him. He would have benefited more if Cruz had endorsed him but winning a little is better than not winning.

I’ve seen his supporters brag how Cruz won’t be tarnished after Trump gets defeated and will be next in line for 2020 which is laughable because they don’t take into account their never Trump movement along with this unprecedented refuse to support from certain people in the party will be blamed and Trump’s 14 million supporters can then return the favor and never support any of them.

David Dewhurst again? He won’t have to spend so much this time against Cruz like last election as Cruz did himself in. This is normally a safe Republican seat but Cruz might have thrown it into play for the dems to take.

I originally supported Cruz, met him in Mo. Valley Iowa and genuinely liked and supported him as I truly believe he was the lone conservative in the bunch. I have not watched his RNC speech but from what I know, I’m disappointed he couldn’t mention something that he mentioned in the debates which was, anyone on the stage is better than Hillary.

He could have given an indirect endorsement and made it a win win for everyone. Now he looks like the others and trying to position himself for 2020.

Ted hurt himself last night. I won’t say I will never support him, but I am not currently interested in listening to him.

It sure was. I didn't vote for Cruz in the primaries, I didn't vote for Trump either, or Jeb Bush. I have never voted for the candidate who became the nominee. Exceptions are Ronald Reagan and President Bush42. I voted for President Reagan in the primary when he ran for reelection in 1984, and for President Bush when he ran for reelection in 2004.

I will vote for Trump in November and might vote for his reelection in primaries in 2020 if I am still around and if he runs for reelection.

One thing that turned me off about Cruz was his voice, which I found very unpleasant

I have been watching all the speeches of the convention on C-SPAN and will do so again this evening. I won’t watch the rat’s convention.
