With the official nomination of Donald Trump as the Republican Party’s presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton has the opponent of her dreams — someone whose character, preparation and views are so defective as to make last night’s roll call a devastating moment in the lives of many Republicans. The GOP has had magnificent nominees (Abraham Lincoln) and likable nominees (Ronald Reagan, Dwight D. Eisenhower). It’s had admirable nominees who lost (Mitt Romney) and flawed nominees who won (Richard Nixon). It has never — and we certainly include Barry Goldwater — had a nominee who embarrasses and disgusts a significant number of people in his own party. How does Clinton, without endangering support in her own ranks, reach out to Republicans to secure her win? Here are five steps she can take:

I hate to break this to these idiots... but the number of “horrified” republicans is not remotely what they think it is.
Trump will hold the overwhelming majority of republican voters, and show no more loss of registered republicans than any other candidate in modern times... and he’ll win the independents handily in at least the 5 to 3 or 3 to 2 range, and will get more registered democrats voting for him than any other R in a long time as well....
Hillary is toast.

Remember last election, some minority areas showed zero votes for Romney. Granted that blacks vote overwhelmingly for Democrats, but you would never expect to find zero votes for a Republican in such areas.
And there were some precincts, I believe in Philadelphia, last time in which voter turnout was over 100%. How can election officials certify a vote count in which more votes are cast than the number of registered voters?? Yet that happened in some places.

Starting with the Dem convention, a billion dollar smear carpet bombing campaign will be launched.
