YOU DON'T have a veto Nicola: May to slap down Sturgeon over attempts to block Brexit

The Prime Minister is set to make it clear that Scotland will leave the Brussels club alongside the rest of the UK following suggestions that Edinburgh could look to negotiate its own deal with EU leaders.

Mrs May will make her remarks after visiting Ms Sturgeon at Holyrood to discuss the fallout of the Brexit vote, which has caused a rift between England and Scotland.

After that meeting the SNP leader insisted that she was in a “very, very strong position” to potentially block Britain’s exit from the Euro club and floated the idea that Scotland could stay in both the UK and the EU.

But during a trip to Wales today the Prime Minister is set to put her foot down, insisting that 52 per cent of the British people have voted to leave.

After a meeting with the Scottish leader last week the PM called for a 'UK approach' to Brexit

Brexit minister David Davis has ruled out Scotland remaining part of the UK and the EU

Neither did I!

But there MUST be a good remnant who still have the blood of William Wallace running through their veins, outnumbered as they are.

In fact, we used to have one here. Insisted that Muslims didn’t exist in the UK, or maybe a relative handful, and all of the anti-Muslim rhetoric was overblown.

He went too far, and was zotted.

Why in the world would Scotland want to join a DYING EU?

Scotland gets subsidies from the EU, which they want to continue.

However, the EU is not interested in Scotland joining minus the UK, as that would make Scotland a net drain on EU finances. Scotland was supposed to make sure that UK stayed in EU (and paying EU dues) and they failed.

Scottish independence for Euro enslavement? My, the Scotts have gone stupid. There is more real scottish pride in America than in Scottland.

This is interesting because there was a parade of McFarlane at a US sport event and you had scottish trolls all over it calling Americans stupid pretend scotts faking it or stealing it

Kind of like here where we have more Takers than Makers.

My countrymen in Northern Ireland, same thing. The again even in NI the voting to get out of Brexit was very along sectarian lines, the Catholics voted to stay in the EU while Unionists voted to get out. I was a big Sinn Fein supporter, but they too have become teat sucking parasites.

If an independent Scotland joins the EU minus the rest of the UK, those subsidies won’t last long! The EU might even tell Scotland not to expect them even before they join!

Scotland should rediscover its old “canny Scots” entrepreneurial genius, as with Andrew Carnegie and Donald J Trump!!!!
