Seems Twitter feeds are being blocked on news about the base being held hostage. Why? Past 4 hours. Has the base been invaded by Turkey?
How could we have our own base be breached and not secure?
When I was in a Pershing Missile firing battalion in Germany, we took the possibility of loss of control of a nuclear weapon seriously, even attempts by the Bundeswehr. All warheads were guarded by heavily armed personnel, with adequate perimeters. All warheads were prepared for immediate destruction. The warheads should be in secure vaults, with active guards and prepared for immediate destruction.
Turkey has now gone full caliphate, and Obama wants that.

Last I’d heard the kill switch does more that fry the detonation components.
It sets of the charges mis-timed to set off a nuclear reaction, but not a full explosion. Something closer to a few pounds of high explosive followed by a melt down and the nuclear materials degraded below where they could be reworked into a crude bomb.

Afew Facebook comments got out, some telephone messages went through, I suspect the DoD has satellite routers independent of the Turkish internet.

Turkey is a) full of believing Sunni Muslims, and b) an eternal enemy of Europe.

If that is indeed the scenario, and there are plenty of reasons to think it is not, but if it is, neither Russia nor Israel will allow that situation to develop. America is like Western Europe and is far too corrupted to act, but if there is fallout it will be over Incirlik and it would be from Russia or Israel making sure nothing fell into the wrong hands.
They are operating on generators and have emergency water supplies. At some point generators run out of fuel
Sounds like they’re embargoing all outside facilities hoping to drive out America. They know they can’t force us out physically.
