The Associated Press 7:14 p.m. EDT June 13, 2016

An American national working at Incirlik Air Base in southern Turkey died Monday after falling from the roof of his apartment building as he attempted to enter using a 10th floor window, Turkey’s state-run news agency reported.

Thaddeus Borowicz, 61, of Traverse City, Michigan, died after tying an electrical cable to a chimney to access his apartment using an open window, the Anadolu Agency reported. He was locked out.

A U.S. citizen who had been working as a fire chief at İncirlik Airbase in the southern province of Adana died on June 13. Thaddeus Mithcheel Borowicz, 61, realized that he forgot his both his car and apartment keys while he was getting into his car. After returning home, Borowicz tried to break into the 10th floor apartment where he was staying through an open window but fell after losing his balance. As he fell Borowicz’s legs were torn off by the iron door of the building and he died at the scene. Borowicz’s body was sent to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy, as an investigation into the accident was opened.

Meanwhile, locals said they discovered Borowicz’s upper body at the entrance of the apartment and found his legs three meters away.

According to the initial examinations, Borowicz had fastened a cable to the building’s chimney to use to access the window. He fell when the cable became disconnected. Borowicz’s funeral will be held in the United States. June/13/2016

And ISIS has claimed responsibility for his death -

http://therightscoop.com/american-suffers-gruesome-death-in-turkey-isis-claims-responsibility/

ISIL-affiliated Amaq News Agency however said “a secret unit” of jihadists had assassinated “an American officer” at his home on June 13 and that the claim of responsibility had been delayed to “ensure the safety” of the team sent to kill Borowicz.

Tried so hard to find the old SNL Fred Thompson skit. Darryl Hammond did such a great job. But NBC has gone all squirrelly and I can’t find any of the old skits any more, except the ones they want you to see. The best I could do is this transcript, which still makes me laugh.

And I loved Fred; I still have a Fred hat around here somewhere.

I was at Incirlik in 1982. I thought it was the worst assignment in the entire USAF. Too many people of a certain "religious persuasion." I will leave it up to your imagination, to figure out which religious persuasion it was. 😀

Yeah, Lucy; I’ve been following this for a bit.

My take on it is simple — blackmail!

Erdogan: give me that Turk hiding out in PA, and I give you your nukes.

He should be kicked out of NATO, and we should fuel-air bomb the nukes at Incirlik.

When someone claims ", any ‘ISIS’ personnel in Turkey will be either Turkish Army, Turkish MIT or mercenaries working for the Zionist-Turkish-Saudi axis of evil that is behind the ISIS deception", they have gone off the deep end.

Those deaths, so many firings, staged coup, security of our nukes, Obama’s loyalties, etc. are eyebrow raising to say the least.

Yes, at our site we had Turkish troops manning the main entry gate along with us. However inside the site we and only we controlled access to the inner restricted areas. Turkish troops manned fixed posts along the perimeter fenceline of the site while we made continuous vehicle patrols of the perimeter.

This same thing happened in Turkey in the late 70s just before I got there, I heard stories about the Turks essentially siezing our nukes so to speak, when martial law crackdown on terrorists was in place...I had to pass through Incirlik to get to/from my site when PCSing and traveling on leave...
