Tim Tebow, the celebrated pro-life football player, wont speak at the Republican convention after all. He says early news reports that he would be speaking at the convention which will nominate Donald Trump for president are a rumor.

Deny deny deny. Until it is time to agree.
Crappy convention.
Well, why not? Tebow would make a great speaker. Not everyone wants to listen to a endless parade of politicians.
If Trump was smart he’d bring in Tebow, Clint Eastwood, etc. as speakers.
You are absolutely right.
And I forgot about Eastwood. He should be right up there near the head of the list.
If Eastwood shows up he needs a little prep this time. The thing with the chair was inspired but scary, and went on too long. I love Clint, but he came across like a crazy old geezer.
True that. Cut Clint's time in half this year, and give the excess time to Hank Williams, Jr.
Tebow’s completion percentage just went down even further.
How about James Woods?
Lol...what his deal, is he holding out for a better offer?
I want to hear him speak too. Im tired of the usual politicians at every convention.
And I hope he “Tebows’ like he did after every NFL game :)
I was trying to find an upside for Tebow to speak there and I couldn’t find one. In the post-NFL career, he seems an evangelist first and humanitarian second. Politician doesn’t seem to fit his image and to speak at this particular convention would cheapen his image. I’d love to know where his political platform is but, honestly, there are better forums for that than at the Trump convention.
He can’t speak if he ever wants to be on ESPN again.
I don’t see this as a source of controversy. According to the article, Tebow is simply saying that, contrary to media reports, he is not scheduled to speak at the convention. He did not “angrily deny” the reports. He said nothing negative about Trump or the Republican Party. He’s just saying he has not been booked to speak at the convention. I’m sure the Republicans would love to have him participate, and if asked, I see no reason why he would decline the opportunity. The left, of course, will try to take this non-story and make it into a big deal.
Screw ESPN.
So where does a rumor like this come from...who benefits?
“He cant speak if he ever wants to be on ESPN again.”
He says he was never asked to speak at the convention.
Still, the above is true. Never being on ESPN means never being paid by them again.
