'You don't like coming in second. Ever.' Christie shares how he'll feel about not being chosen"

With the news that the vice presidential slot may be filled and not by Republican Chris Christie, the New Jersey governor explained what his reaction will be if Donald Trump rolls out Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.

'I mean, obviously, I'm a competitive person,' Christie told MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace, a Republican analyst for the network. 'So I'm not going to say it won't bother me, if I'm not selected. Of course it bothers you a little bit. 'Cause if you're a competitive person, like I am, and you're used to winning, like I am – again, you don't like coming in second, ever.'

While Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, won't official roll out his vice presidential pick until tomorrow in New York, Roll Call and then other outlets reported that the conservative Indiana governor was it. 'No matter what phone call he makes to me today – I will take a deep breath and prepare for tomorrow,' Christie said.

Good honest answer. I want Christie as AG. He can start by indicting and setting fire to the chair Eric Holder sat in!

Actually, that’s a good slogan “You don’t like coming in second EVER!!”. It would work for something like engine oil , shooting hoops or financial advice.

I was about to say something like that, about myself. As someone whose life has been an relentless string of disappointments, failures, and also-rans, I have little sympathy for him.

Christie should be thankful. Now he won’t have to be part of the humiliating defeat.

Hopefully you haven't had to run before the relentless pursuit of the police lieutenant obsessed with your capture.

I’m not sure I get the hatred for Chris Christie. Christie helped Trump out when he bucked the establishment and endorsed Trump. He has worked behind the scenes helping Trump this entire campaign. Unlike others, he has not bashed Trump to the media or given them soundbites about the latest “controversy.” He’s loyal to Trump, supports Trump’s positions, and would be an attack dog for Trump. Would he be my pick if I was picking anyone I wanted? No, but I’ve said I like Santorum or Sessions. However, among the pool to pick from, I don’t think he’s a bad guy.

Why is there going to be a humiliating defeat?

Christie should be the Attorney General. He is a real prosecutor and he should go after the corruption in DC including but not limited to the previous administration. Particularly the head of the FBI, the present Attorney General and President.

Laws have been broken and corrupt bargains made. They should all be prosecuted.

America needs to be led by warriors , not by lawyers , no by politicians . World wide war is upon us , it’s time to have the correct leadership for that reality .

"Why is there going to be a humiliating defeat?"

Ditto.

Trump hasn't spent any money on ads and he's tied or ahead in swing states.

Plus the news is supporting Trump. If it isn't a cop killing, it's a terrorist attack.

Go run a marathon, you’ll come in a lot less than second.
