Its a “typical” neighborhood for the many young people working on Capitol Hill. Since DC votes 90+% Democrat, and its the home of our massive, progressive-left US Government and seat of empire, pretty much every shooting victim in DC is going to be a “leftie.”
His area is a recently improved / regentrified townhouse area, with cheaper rents (in an expensive city). why was he out at 4 AM? probably coming home from a bar or party. Doesn’t deserve to be shot for that.

I agree with you. My son lives on Flagler PL in the 2200 block. It is a changing neighborhood. There are many young professionals sharing old row houses. He shares a house with three other people and even at that his rent is just under $1000. Up until a short time ago the road has been closed at Adams St. due to a major storm sewer project. I have been there several times and staid over. I actually like the area. It is not the best neighborhood but I have been to other places that are much worse. My feeling is it is changing for the better.
As you can imagine I am concerned about his safety.

Quoting from the Flag Code, Title IV, Chapter 1, Section 8:
No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations.
Every team in Major League Baseball except the Toronto Blue Jays was in violation over the July 4 weekend.

He probably does. The whole Democrat Party is one big criminal element.

Maybe some of those libs in the neighborhood will think twice about gun free zone protection..or lack thereof..but somehow I doubt it.

You are wrong.
(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. (e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way. (i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. (j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform.
United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10.

I have no idea what any sports team did over the July 4th weekend. But flag prints on clothing, etc., are not treated as actual flags.

“Question:
Is it permissible to wear an item of clothing that looks like the United States flag?
Answer:
Unless an article of clothing is made from an actual United States flag, there is NO breach of flag etiquette whatsoever. People are simply expressing their patriotism and love of country by wearing an article of clothing that happens to be red, white, and blue with stars and stripes. There is nothing illegal about the wearing or use of these items.”

There’s a Howard University dorm half a block from there. When I was a student there, there was a shuttle that ran from campus to there, but it was easily walkable, maybe four or five blocks from campus proper, and as mentioned a couple of blocks behind the hospital. A few every year would chance the walk at the beginning of the year, get robbed of their valuables at gunpoint, and switch back to the shuttle!
