Authorities in Baton Rouge say more than 100 people were jailed in connection with the Black Lives Matter protests held in the Lousiana city over the weekend.
Spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office told The Associated Press on Sunday that 101 people were being held in the parish jail in connection with the protests. No information was immediately available on what charges they faced or whether some people were later released.
Among those arrested was DeRay Mckesson, who rose to prominence with the Black Lives Matter movement after the 2014 shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

“Peaceful Protest”
They blame their self-inflicted pathologies on the cops and on Whitey. They need to blame themselves.
Don’t just arrest them! Hold them without bail and then PROSECUTE THEM! They need to understand that, FOR SOME PEOPLE, there are CONSEQUENCES FOR BREAKING THE LAW!!

I watched the morning “news” shows from Phoenix this morning and to my absolute Unamazement, they all (every damn one) repeatedly referred the Peaceful Demonstrations across the country. It was all peace and love. In fact the shooter in Dallas is now described as an Afghanistan Veteran, possibly with PTSD, who was concerned with the police killing blacks.
Then they will just point to Obama, Hillary, Slick, Eric Holder, Timothy Geithner, and the rest.
Well nice to know that they CAN arrest these freaks.
If this was a Trump rally, they would just stand there and just let them terrorize people.
Hopefully what has happened will give LEOs around the nation a clue that these people that they have allowed far too often to torment Trump supporters are NOT your buddies, and will eat you too.
YUP! That was a PEACEFUL PROTEST .
Southern cities don’t play that San Jose/Detroit game. They ARREST protesters.
And if they still get away with their criminality, we will know that the long arm if Obama is, in reality, controlling our city Police Depts, too. And we will know that all really is lost.
BLM lost the moral high ground by saying it was okay to shoot and kill police in another State that had nothing to do with the 2 police incidents in question.
Before I turned off the Sunday morning news, I caught a whiff of the loathsome “The Talk” whine.
It is always mentioned in a quiet, tragic way.
Well, for one, “The Talk” should include a little caution, such as, “Don’t physically confront a policemen, don’t resist an arrest by force, and expect to die if you resist with a gun in your hand.
I was stopped once on the outskirts of a small town for speeding. I merely asked the cop how he felt justified in writing me up when there were no speed limit signs posted. He turned purple in the face, his hands started trembling in rage.
I shut up. I did not realize that I was supposed to get in his face and tussle with him, based on the current understanding by black males.
BLM is a noted domestic terrorist group and needs to be shut down immediately before anymore people are killed or wounded due to their so-called “peaceful protests”.
At the risk of being redundant...take away their EBT Cards. Forever!

The Black Chief of Police in El Pasa didn’t mince words, calling BLM a terrorirst group. Don’t expect to hear that from any Democrat media outlet in an election year.
