It is the illegal drug industry that has given black youths a profitable occupation. It has destroyed the family unit, destroyed the need to get an education and put youths on a course that implements a system of street justice requiring the murder of those who obstruct their occupation. The illegal drugs also affect critical thinking which is crucial for the needed self discipline for civil behavior. The collateral harm drugs do in society is the elephant in the room and, for some reason, it is not given the importance it deserves. The $billions in costs to society is barely understood and, if the impact of illegal drugs were given the importance given to the Zika virus, we would have a generational change for Black Americans who now appear headed for self destruction.

most of us are just too busy working to understand the gibmedat mindset of the 3-4 generations of unmarried mothers living on welfare and baby daddies proving their manhood with guns

I have dealt with the Black community in the justice system for years. It is true that Blacks walk around with greater risks.
But it the leftists and the Black leadership which are the cause of that.
The remedy is not more whining. The first stage of a remedy is to encourage early learning of well spoken English, education about need to build an intact family before sexual activity, and formal education to enter them into mainstream American workplace.
Enough race baiting.
We all need to come together as Americans.
The main problem blacks have is illegitimacy. The Federal government encourages and subsidizes it. It is devastating for black males and makes blacks dependent upon government. The Federal government is now working on destroying white families. It is all about power.
I agree with Newt on this one.
Doesn’t excuse violence or reverse discrimination, etc.
As a white, middle-age, conservative American male that’s worked hard my whole life for what little I have and paid more than my “fair share” of taxes over the years, oh I understand reeaaaallllll well, Newt.
I understand that is NOT my fault, it’s NOT my ancestors’ fault, nor is it America’s fault that they are the way they are. It’s the fault of the democratic party that has taken advantage of em and literally enslaved them with govt hand-out after govt hand-out and special black privileges.
So don’t even talk to me about “white privilege”, or ‘micro aggression”, or “racism” or “hate crime”. It’s all just a bunch of BS...pure liberal BS at that.

Newt’s context here is relations with the police. Other topics, like affirmative action, may not answer the point he’s making.
When I want insight into the black american experience, I know I always look to Newt Gingrich.
Doesn’t surprise me at at all. The Bad Newtie got out of bed this morning. Later in the day, for no explicable reason, indeed, not even one that he can either understand or predict, the Good Newtie will pop out and do something great. That’s the problem: Newtie is a hopelessly unreliable flake, making him a horrible VP choice.
As a black person, I say shove it Newt! Nobody can entirely understand the experience of anyone else, regardless of race, class, gender, nationality, religion, etc., but it’s certainly possible for anyone to somewhat understand the experience of anyone else, again regardless of race, class, gender, nationality, religion, etc. The black/white divide is not something that’s singularly difficult to cross, for the most part we speak the same language, share much of the same history and culture. Gimme a break!
Problem is I do understand many of the blacks. Newt is done for me.
