Ten Day waiting period ?
No law enforcement has a legal duty to protect citizens. The restrictions should apply to all or none.
Can’t do that, MHGinTN. We’ve got to hold the border.
Remember the old saying, as goes California, so goes America? Time to take California back, and to do that we need voters. Republican voters. Millions of y’all. Leave the hellholes that parts of the Midwest and east coast have become and come on down to the unofficial State of Southern California. It’s no State of Franklin, but it’s a good start!
Very fine battle rifle. Also very pricey.
But much better accuracy than the Ruger carbine.
What will Gov. Moonbeam do when virtually no one complies with this unconstitutional decree? Will he send gun grabbing goon squads to break down doors for unconstitutional searches? This is pure fascism.
In my opinion, he will. The people in California this affects need to prepare.
Don't tell my wife! (I just decided I need one!)
A funny thing happened in CT when they passed this same 10-round magazine law back in 2013:
The “expiration date” of the grace period had come. The politicians set forth the command of law enforcement to start kicking down doors and arresting it’s citizens of class IV felonies for being in possession of magazines greater than 10 rounds.
This “list” of names came out (How’d they get that if such registries are against federal law!) On this list of future arrestees happened to be almost HALF of the entire states state police, local police, EMTs, firemen, local and STATE POLITICIANS WHO VOTED FOR THIS LAW were on this arrest list.
The order instantly died a silent and hearty death.
The law is now used to tack on additional charges if someone is arrested for a crime. Possession in itself is not proactively pursued. Many, many CT residents are in quiet possession of “illegal” semi-automatic long guns and “illegal” magazines greater than 10 rounds. Just can’t buy any of them in CT. A quick ride to PA and you just show your drivers license.
OK, I won’t. Smile.
Thanks for that.
I’ll give my Lawyer the link if needed since I will be one of those not complying with this Unconstitutional Tyrannical so called Legislation.
“If you are already a felon, adding more is free.”
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t think we should. Just saying once magazines are banned, and bullets are not far after it, best thing you will be able to do with your weapons is throw it at them.
I don’t know. Maybe have a friend let you use the address but you’d need to get a license to match. Unless you’re close enough to the border to commute to work.
Maybe some other freepers would have some ideas.
It’s actually a Rock River LEF-T Tactical II model. I have to wait for it since it’s being built from the ground up as a left-handed model. another 2-4 weeks or so.
I am not unsympathetic to Americans trapped in California, but ... you need to find a way to extricate yourself as soon as possible and move to a safer place.
Other than military personnel, the only Americans with a reason to be in California are those specifically called to serve on foreign mission fields.
Any American living in California is deep behind enemy lines. Think about that.
Indeed, I *have* been looking at that. I am actually at this point looking at moving to a nearby state. Nevada is out for that, though, as I do not do well in desert climates.
I am looking a bit northward, but not so far north that the weather there is significantly different to the weather here, which I have managed to tolerate so far.
One difficulty is that I do not wish to move into a new location whose immediate neighborhood is the equivalent of East Palo Alto, Oakland, or East Side San Jose. Just travelling through those areas is enough to educate anyone with even a modicum of survival instinct that you do not wish to be there any longer than absolutely necessary.
Not too many locals here are from any of the areas I have been examining thus far. None, actually, but in all honesty I have only recently begun looking about.
Since about the time this thread was started, to be entirely truthful.
See? FReepers do listen to advice when it is offered, despite allegations to the contrary. :)
There are still bastions of sanity in several Southeastern states, though not generally in urban areas.
Best of luck to you and your family.
