Hannah Cohen, a young disabled woman whose mother describes as “partially deaf, blind in one eye, paralyzed and easily confused,” was beaten by Transportation Security Agents (TSA) after her flight home.
The young woman was then led from the Memphis International Airport, beaten, bloodied, bruised, and in handcuffs — and then booked into jail.
Cohen was returning home to Chattanooga after receiving treatment for her brain tumor at St. Jude’s Hospital. In fact, Hannah Cohen was returning home after receiving her final treatment for the brain tumor, and this trip back from St. Jude’s just marked one of many, as she has been flying back and forth from St. Jude’s Hospital for years. But instead of being able to celebrate the completion of her treatment, Hannah Cohen and her mother were subjected to rough handling and inexplicable treatment from the TSA and its agents, as well as local police in Memphis.

Memphis to Chattanooga is 340 miles.
Under the current system, I’d never fly on a trip that short, too much hassle.
I'd times that by 10 and demand that the director of the airport be fired!
I have heard of people groped and held but never actually beaten. And the TSA doesn’t even have handcuffs — that would be the police.
I will wait for more evidence and recommend the same for people here, less you look like gullible saps.
Skepticism is always a good policy.
On the other hand, I tend to fly a lot and have seen a serious degradation in the quality and professionalism of people working TSA over the last 8 years.
My take is that the Obama Admin has been working hard to get “their people” jobs in TSA and this has seriously impacted competency, morale and attitude in many airports.

I would guess that explains the rough treatment. I would aslo hazard a guess as to the complexion of the cop(s) and the TSA agent(s).
My theory would be that the girl panicked, tried to run, the TSA troops tackled/grabbed her, and she went down. There’s plenty of things to bang your head on around the scanning area.
The exam is in two parts; the first an English comprehension test (one Korean guy was totally upset because he couldn’t read/understand English and also had a very poor command of it as well) and the second part is looking at color x-ray images of banned object in suitcases. You have fifteen seconds to click a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’ ....

If you are alluding to maximizing her personal activity in the number of hours she has remaining in life, I’d wager you can often drive that distance faster than fly (door to door).

Common sense! It's all about common sense. Most intelligent people would look at this young lady as they are asking her to do something and KNOW that she is not completely normal. Not to mention the mother trying to tell them what the what up is.
It's more than likely a case of overzealous hood rats with an over sized uniform and a cheesy patch for a badge...cause ya know they gotta look...fishel.
sheesh ... Sounds like you run around with your pants below your ass, your run ins once reported to supervisors were simply dismissed as solicitation.

The video and news report is pretty self explanatory. WREG-TV was unable to obtain any comment from the TSA goons or any other person in authority.
It comes down to a question of believability, and we ALL know that we can trust the word of the TSA and their vile parent agency DHS, right?

I have had many run ins with freedumb2003 in the past about airports and he ALWAYS defends them. I suspect he is one of them.
When I went through O’Hare, they (the TSA idiots) were all black. All of them.
No, chalk it up to headline writer hyperbole. The article says she was taken down when she tried to run and it wouldn’t be the first time a JBT threw in a punch or kick. We’d need to see the video to tell if that occurred. But the photo does show her bloodied.
She is far more deserving of a White Hut visit and a personal apology from the man ultimately responsible for TSA, far more so than Clock Boy ever was.
