Courts say living by Christian faith illegal
WND ^ | 06/28/2016 | Bob Unruh

It started out with hints of official, United States governmental oppression of Christianity as soon as same-sex “marriage” became a bullet point for activists – little things like “discrimination” complaints that those choosing alternative sexual lifestyles somehow weren’t applauded as they thought they deserved.

Then it became confrontational for Christians who were simply choosing to live by their beliefs – beliefs similar to those held by the nation’s founders. Bakers were penalized for not promoting homosexuality, ditto for photographers and venue owners. Government officials publicly vilified their Christian faith and ordered them, in some case, re-educated.

Now two rulings have been released that cement the American court system’s determination that Christians must not be allowed, under threat of penalty and punishment, to live as they believe in business or in public life.

Specifically, the U.S. Supreme Court left standing a lower court decision that Washington state pharmacists who are Christian must violate their faith in order to practice their profession. And the second decision came from a federal judge in Mississippi who had established a reputation for ruling against Christians who said county clerks in the state must violate their faith in order to hold their office.

The move has alarmed people even inside the Supreme Court, where Justice Samuel Alito warned that, in the case against the pharmacists, there even was evidence that the “impetus for the adoption of the regulations was hostility to pharmacists whose religious beliefs regarding abortion and contraception are out of step with prevailing opinion in the state.”

No, I think the Supreme Court essentially ruled that all pharmacies must carry contraceptives yesterday, as weird as that seems.

Not God, not Darwinian Evolution, but Aliens.

That's why we need to build a wall. Keep the aliens out.

UCANSEE2,

It’s easier not to be wise
And measure these things by your brains
I sank into Eden with you
Alone in the church by and by
I’ll read to you here, save your eyes
You’ll need them, your boat is at sea
Your anchor is up, you’ve been swept away
And the greatest of teachers won’t hesitate
To leave you there, by yourself, chained to fate
I alone love you
I alone tempt you
I alone love you
Fear is not the end of this!
I alone love you
I alone tempt you
I alone love you

Someone who would like to make a living as a photographer would have a hard time if he didn't do weddings.

Likewise with bakers, B&B's that host events, etc.

To a lot of businesses weddings are what keeps them going through otherwise lean times.

And as far as running a pharmacy that just doesn't stock certain drugs, I'm thinking you'll have problems with the distributors and drug companies. If you don't sell Product X then they won't sell you Product Y, etc.

I find it fascinating that they are finding Christians to be the horrible people concerning opinions on homosexuality while it is the muslims who are killing them, right here in the U.S. To my knowledge, muslims are not Christians. Not even close.

I'm talking about something more like the Bonus Army than the Million Man March.

Going there, clogging up traffic, and staying there until changes are made.

The liberals have got conservatives by the short hairs. Either we all quit our jobs and cause the economy to tank and get what we want at the risk of not being able to support our families and/or being forced onto welfare ... or we continue to work at our jobs for companies that are slowly (or quickly) morphing into mouthpieces for the liberal agenda and write letters to the editors or elect "conservatives" that magically convert into liberals once they take the oath of office.

If the Catholics had a decent Pope, there would be hell to pay by these unconstitutional judicial tyrants.

I wonder if a Christian videographer would be compelled to shoot a porn movie.

Sadly you are right. I’ve been writing letters since the 1960’s. It seems everyone is still writing the same letters, but with more vitriol and hyperbole. The day may not be far off when a civilized march becomes the American Tiannamen Square.

Jihadists can slaughter people every day, and it’s okay, because everyone is afraid if them, seems to me.

Christians are passive, for the most part, and therefore defeatable. Weakness attracts predators. Their belief system condemns depravity and makes people feel guilty. This is intolerable. The world is wallowing in depravity.

The anti-God mobs have so much momentum, nothing can stop them now (seemingly). They’ll drag everything down to hell and call it victory. These are incredibly dark days.

It will get worse until every Christian preacher starts condemning the government from the pulpit and stops worrying about tax exemptions.

"No, I think the Supreme Court essentially ruled that all pharmacies must carry contraceptives yesterday, as weird as that seems."

That's the way I read it, too.

It's completely idiotic.

I have trouble getting simple antibiotics sometimes for my patients because they are on back order.

Or they just don't have it, period, and they ask me to make a change.

Why should a pharmacy be FORCED to carry ANY product?

They can't possibly have *every* drug stocked.
