Many experienced GOP strategists unwilling to work for Trump (Some of Cruz's Crew)

WASHINGTON — Donald Trump has finally acknowledged that to best compete against Hillary Clinton he needs more than the bare-bones campaign team that led him to primary success. But many of the most experienced Republican political advisers aren’t willing to work for him.

While there are exceptions, many strategists who best understand the mechanics of presidential politics fear that taking a Trump paycheck might stain their resumes, spook other clients and even cause problems at home. They also are reluctant to devote months to a divisive candidate whose campaign has been plagued by infighting and disorganization.

“Right now I feel no obligation to lift a finger to help Donald Trump,” said Brent Swander, an Ohio-based operative who has coordinated nationwide logistics for Republican presidential campaigns dating to George W. Bush.

“Everything that we’re taught as children — not to bully, not to demean, to treat others with respect — everything we’re taught as children is the exact opposite of what the Republican nominee is doing. How do you work for somebody like that? What would I tell my family?” Swander said.

As in years past, the primary season created a pool of battle-tested staffers who worked for other candidates, from which Trump would be expected to draw. But hundreds of such aides have so far declined invitations to work for him.

Chris Wilson, a senior aide to Ted Cruz, said the Texas senator’s entire paid staff of more than 150 ignored encouragement from Trump’s team to apply for positions after Cruz quit the presidential race. Wilson said that even now, many unemployed Cruz aides are refusing to work for the man who called their former boss “Lyin’ Ted.”

No wonder this guy is suck a dickhead. He was taught as a child to be a freaking sissy. He can get insulted right to his face by horrible enemies of his family and nation, but will "not bully, not demean, will treat them with respect." Fool, you bully and demean and destroy your enemies. The Bible says to turn the other cheek... to our personal enemies, but this does not apply to the enemies of God, who we are commanded to make war against. What does this moron think of St. Paul hoping that false apostles and Judaizers emasculate themselves? Christ whipping the money changers from the Temple? Christ calling them serpents and devils?

This guy is nothing but a self-righteous fool, as are all the Cruzers.

In addition the post BREXIT effect has not been taken into account yet !

It’s a very GOOD POINT for TRUMP who supported BREXIT at the opposite of pathetic pair CLINTON OBAMA .
Probably the croocked MSM are trying to stay silent about that .... Does it shine a light ?

Just wait a little bit....instead of behaving as a bad loser

Then don't expect Cruz, his family, employees and many others to support Trump.

Fool, Cruz doesn't have a family. He has a campaign ad that he visits once or twice every 6 months. He has an empty, cursed soul, and doesn't care about anything but himself. That is why he lied to us for 6 months about his position on immigration. That is why he lied to us about his wife's role in the CFR. That is why he lied to us about his campaign funding. That is why he will not fulfill his own oath to support the nominee. You talk of Trump having to earn something from these people? How about Cruz keeping his damn word, and ending his campaign to derail Trump? You think these Cruzers conspiring against the nominee aren't doing so under orders of Cruz?

If you were a Cruz employee would you work for someone that demeaned and ridiculed Cruz the way he did?

If you are a conservative, would you support a pathological liar like Ted Cruz, who sided with Barack Obama and claimed Trump was responsible for the violence of BLM and the other leftist terrorist groups?

Please, you're a clown.

Considering that Trump is out of cash and will no longer fund his campaign

He just raised 12 million dollars within 48 hours. WTF are you even talking about, clown?

I'm voting for him

No you're not, you're saying that to save yourself from the zot.

Yes, she is much more articulate, but that does not mean I like what she is articulating. Thankfully, she is a horrible candidate and even the libs I know turn the TV off as soon as she comes on. I do think Trump will win, warts and all, because the libs I know, who swooned over Obama literally hate Hillary. It is quite amusing to listen to them bleat on about Hillary. However, they don’t like Trump at all and think he is horrible, too, but I get the impression many may stay home. They won’t vote for Trump, but they may realize on election day, they have to spend the day cleaning out the attic. That works for me.

Is it too much to expect a presidential candidate to articulate well his governing philosophy and demonstrate some understanding of the Constitution. Make America Great Again, is a great slogan, and we know about immigration and trade and health care (sort of) - he has talked about energy some. Perhaps all this will get taken care of in the coming months.

Agreed that Trump needs them and they can facilitate many opportunities for him but this daily snipping of Trump by Conservatives must stop...unless they REALLY want to see Hilliary in the WH.

Ridiculous. Personal insults are what I expect from you. $12 million. That’s nothing. Big Deal. Hillary has run 46,000 ads in June. Trump has run 150 ads. Trump, the billionaire candidate is broke.

And BTW , crying baby , sometimes “insults” are appropriate.

Showing “respect” for liars and croocks is evil !

Maybe you and CRUZ need to read again the Gospel and meditate a little bit on it . It’s not a candy for little children .
Maybe CRUZ’ education was not so good

Republicans against Trump are the biggest asset to the dems

I disagree. These disloyal creeps are one of the best talking points we have to win over Sanders voters, undecideds, and young voters. It won't be too hard to convince them that they don't want to vote for hillary, the insider candidate these in-it-for-themselves 'pubs favor.

These “experienced” people are “establishment” people...the type of establishment people who should be tarred and feathered and put on a rail and run out of town.
