Brexit is a bad omen for world commerce
WaPo via Standard Examiner ^ | June 25th, 2016 | Jim Tankersley

Posted on 06/25/2016 6:04:50 PM PDT by Mariner

The economic story of the past quarter-century was the rapid advance of globalization, the unleashing of trade and commerce among countries rich and poor - a McDonald’s in every European capital, “Made in China” labels throughout Toys R Us. The Brexit vote on Thursday ends that story, at least in its current volume. Voters will soon tell us what sort of sequel they’d prefer.

A slowdown in trade growth has already gripped the globe over the past several years, according to data from the World Trade Organization. Prospects now look bleak for completion of major new trade agreements, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership and a new accord between the United States and the European Union, no matter who wins the U.S. presidential election in November.

Political factions in other European countries are clamoring to follow Britain out the door of the European Union. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is promising to levy the highest set of tariffs in the past century for America against China, Mexico and other key trading partners. His presumptive Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, has vowed to renegotiate existing deals such as the North American Free Trade Agreement.

These developments come at the hands of an anxious working class across the West, whose members feel left in the cold by many developments of the rapid integration of foreign products and people into their lives.

If the EU was the future, it was a future without work. Here’s the current youth unemployment figures.

The funniest thing is that Cameron thought Obama would help the cause for REMAIN. Instead, it was probably the one thing that caused more voters to vote LEAVE.

Obama thinks everyone loves his sorry azz. The media doesn’t have all of us fooled like the clown believes.

If only we could follow the UK’s example and have a number of states withdraw from the DC empire.

I strongly disagree with this analysis. A country can trade with other countries without being taxed by the European Union, Soviet Union or United Nations. Globalization has existed for centuries. One World Government is what these leftists want and it means the same as Tyranny. Britain was being taxed by the EU to be redistributed to the basket case countries like Greece and Spain. How is this good for Britain. The EU regulations being imposed on member countries were vast and were killing business. The EU even regulated the proper shape of a banana that could be legally sold in EU countries.

Hey WaPo! Nobody believes a word you say anymore! If anything, they take what you say and believe the exact opposite. Oh, and go to hell, the lot of you traitors!

The socialist elites at the WaPo are shaking in their knickers over the Brexit of the UK. This is the first of at least five other European countries that want out of the EU. Frau Merkel in Germany is very nervous because the whole stinking facade is about to come crumbling down. Merkel is one of the tub thumpers for the EU super state and she see everything coming undone. Awwwww.

The EU started out about trade but became centralized control by the unelected with overhead to be extracted.

Lemmie see now:
Unemployment for the ‘middle class’.
Lowered INCOMES for the middle class (with jobs).
STAGNATION for the last decade or two.

That’s one hell of a business plan, genius.

The exact opposite is true. Britain now has the opportunity for actual free trade. The EU is not a free trade region. It is a highly regulated and restrictive trade zone.

Freeing themselves of high tariffs and banned trade will give them economic growth.

Expect more charts, graphs, polls, etc...prepared by liberal twits that contain falsified or skewed info about why Great Britain leaving the EU will be worse than allowing Muslim refugees to take over their country.
