John Ratzenberger played one of America's most beloved sitcom characters, Cliff the Mailman, on "Cheers" for 11 years. Since then, he has become one of the most-employed voices in Pixar movies, with a role in the latest, "Finding Dory."
But he's also a longtime Republican activist who will be appearing in four panels at Politicon starting Saturday and running through the weekend in Pasadena, California.
LifeZette talked to the actor, 69, about his opinions on the issues involved in two of his four panels at the weekend gathering -- his passion for the Second Amendment ("Tons of Guns") and his support for Donald Trump ("The Trump Panel").

Yay, Cliffy!!
Go Trump!
“Hurrah”? Very British of Johnny.
He is THE most-employed actor of all time! I think also the richest in terms of acting income.
Hell, not only did I watch him flit by on Superman again last week, but he’s also on Protocol I’m watching. And I caught his voice in yet another movie we were watching, not Pixar.
Way To Go Cliff!!!
GO.TRUMP.GO!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE OVAL OFFICE!!!
Good for “Cliff”, but what does Norm say???
Wonderful Actor and very astute politically!!!
LOL! I hear that George Wendt is a Dem donor but do not really know.
I wonder if that will last now that he has declared for Trump. After all, if you are for Trump you must be an ignorant redneck, a hater, a racist, a climate-changre denier, etc. Or so the media has told me.
And I'm only half-kidding here. I wouldn't be surprised if some people started picketing Ratzenberger's movies. However, the left will still flock to see Roman Polanski's movies, even though he was convicted of rape.
The story I heard is that John read for the part of Sam and didn’t get it. He then asked them if the had the bar know it all yet. They didn’t know what that was, so John explained it so well that they created the part for him.
There’s a great movie on Netflix with him in it. The Woodcarver.
LOL!
John Ratzenberger also hosted a show called Made In America.
Good stuff!
Cliff expounds his “Buffalo Theory” to Norm:
Well, you see, Norm, its like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, its the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.
And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.
Did you know that the Mesopotamians invented flash hair?
Flash=false
Hate spell check
I knew he would. he gets it. I loved his show; Made in America.
