Brexit: Britain votes to leave EU in historic divorce [Trump connection noted]

Britain has voted to leave the European Union in a referendum, with the result throwing into question the fate of the 28-nation bloc and several high-profile British politicians, including the prime minister.

When asked whether [Prime Minister] Cameron should resign, Nigel Farage, leader of UKIP which had backed a vote to Leave, said: "immediately".

"The dawn is breaking on an independent United Kingdom," he said to loud cheers at a Leave campaign party.

"I hope this victory brings down this failed project and leads us to a Europe of sovereign nation states, trading together, being friends together, cooperating together, and let's get rid of the flag, the anthem, Brussels and all that has gone wrong."

"Let June the 23rd go down in history as our Independence Day."

Farage went on to accuse Cameron and former prime ministers Gordon Brown and Tony Blair of "irresponsible, open-door mass-immigration that has damaged the quality of life of ordinary, decent people in this country."

Al Jazeera's Barnaby Phillips said the outcome is "an enormous rejection of the political class".

"There is anger towards the political class. The message on immigration resonated in large parts of the country.

"People at the poorer end of society feel that the large number of EU migrants, and other migrants, that have come in has been to their disadvantage; that it has hurt access to schools, access to housing, pushed down wages at the bottom end of the wage scale.

"It is fair to relate it, in a wider context, to the support that Donald Trump has managed to get in the primary stages in the United States… a distrust of the authorities, a distrust of the establishment that has governed western democracies all these decades...

Too bad we don’t have an eloquent Nigel Farage here in the US. Trump will do the job, but Trump could learn from him.

Meanwhile, Trump is showing up in Scotland to open his resort, but Scotland voted heavily for “remain” so they may not like Trump and might be some mean folks there. I wish he had better security detail. Seems foolish for him to go over there for this opening. He’s too valuable at this stage of the game in the election to have a mishap.

While I am very surprised and happy to see the British people take a stand against the oppressive EU, agressive Islamic invasion, and the "Rapeugees" - this is not the last we have heard from the Satanic Globalists.

This vote will only increase their wrath and will speed up their bid to install global tyranny.

Well, it was looking pretty gloomy when I went to bed last night. When I had checked the polls early on, Brexit had a substantial lead. But that lead kept shrinking throughout the evening, until Brexit was only four or five thousand (~1% of the total counted vote) ahead.

I had to remind myself that early election returns can turn out to be wildly inaccurate. I am glad that they turned out correct, in this case! I hope that other freedom-philes in Europe follow the lead.

Negotiating trade agreements for the benefit of everyone is one thing. Banding together and creating a massive overbearing government accountable to no one is another.
