White babies are now outnumbered by minority babies, according to new population estimates from the Census Bureau.
In 2015, racial and ethnic minorities made up 50.2 percent of babies under a year old. That year, there were 1,995,102 minority babies born, just slightly more than the 1,982,936 white babies born.
The 2015 data was released Thursday, as was updated data for previous years. These new figures show that in 2013, minority babies also outnumbered non-Hispanic white babies by about 1,000 births. In 2014, white babies were outnumbered by about 16,000.
Original data from 2011 showed that white babies were in the minority, but those figures were revised in 2013 to show that the white infants were still the majority. But the new information released Thursday shows that the original figures were in fact correct, and minority births outpaced white ones.

Whites have convinced themselves they can’t afford to have kids because they have to pay for EVERYTHING for the illegals & welfare cases.
Most Hispanics in the US are mestizo or mulatto. You cannot make a brown man a white man (nor should you). Cultural upbringing and genetics can never be ignored.
You can’t make yellow or brown into white. Sorry.
Ms. Hayek is Lebanese (Semitic) which is counted as white in the US. Most US Latinos are mestizo or mulatto, not white. Brown people have never assimilated into white culture in the US, Canada or Europe. In Latin America, they effectively “defined white down” to include as white anyone who was predominantly white (see Puerto Rico where most “whites” have considerable subsaharan African features).

It isn’t about blame; it is about who will fund them (as wards of the welfare state) when whites are gone. In my area (northern NJ) it is the white-collar “replacement Americans” (Asians) that are expected to foot the bill.
The Welfarians giving birth are simply surrogate mothers for Uncle Sam’s next batch of “clients”; they don’t love or nurture the children they breed for a life of leisure - they just pop them out and let them run amuck (hoping the government will do the rest - including school BREAKFAST and year-round lunch programs in schools - even when schools are closed for the summer).
I’ve posted ad nauseum for years now that the 2050 date for the US having a white minority were nonsense; we are less than ten years away already (based on nothing but my lying eyes and uninformed opinions). My first child was born more than a dozen years ago and was one of just a couple of Anglo babies surrounded by primarily Hispanic ones in a hospital in a “white” area.
Even with Mestizos many have a large European genetic source.
If immigration was slowed down, the Latino community would actually have the chance to assimilate. Not all of them would assimilate into the “white” category like Eastern Europeans, Italians, and the Irish did, but a good amount would to render the category useless.
I agree. Most of my elderly friends from Puerto Rico or Cuba say that their children and grandchildren don't speak any Spanish. They are sometimes sad about this ... but even more sad when their children and grandchildren don't go to church.
It'll get a lot more tolerant as it matches Venezuela as a "paradise on earth"....
