What is interesting is that Trump is to the left of Hillary in some aspect of military issues, while being to the right on traditional economics. Yo the left on trade. Yet to the right on the 10th amendment issues. Amazing.

I don't see anything conservative about constant military actions. Neocon, yes, but conservative, no. So I don't really see Trump as being "to the left" of Hillary on this issue.

Trump is branded a racist for wanting to kill fewer muslims than Hillary wants to.

One of the major reasons GWB got my vote was his promise not go around nation building or attacking countries like Serbia. I thought that Bill Clinton had made a mess with such actions and a nice stables GOP president was a good solution. Al Gore was a war monger by comparison. We all know how that turned out. Conservative values include only going to war when it’s necessary for the good of the country. Liberals on the other hand talk about peace while they slaughter millions. Trump has a very right wing approach to war.

This is why the Salem Radio cabal hates Trump.

If things keep going in the direction they are, we could see a long-needed realignment of political parties. Trump’s party would call for a smaller, smarter federal government that protected and preserved the US as we used to know it. hillary’s party would be that of globalism, a loss of rights, constant warmongering, and people being controlled by the highest bidder.

I do not think being non-interventionist is a left wing position.

I’d have liked to have opposed the Iraq war but couldn’t because the anti-war movement was run by Marxist idiots who shouted down anyone that didn’t believe exactly as they did and they were delusional.

Trump doesn’t want the United States in the Mideast or the Mideast in the United States.

Neocons or neoconservatives?...Not much of a difference there.

If Trump wants to keep millions of Sanders voters at least AT HOME on election day, he will

- paint Hillary as a “neocon” (use this label on her) and a war-monger. Point out she has destroyed Syria, Libya, nearly Egypt, and the Ukraine. She has caused the greatest refugee crisis since WWII

- show her connections to Wall Street. They are deep and expensive. There is nothing American progressive hate more.

I know quite a few Sanders voters - and this is what they fear about Hillary.

Iraq was stable and on the mend when Bush left office. It was those same Marxist idiots in the Obama Administration that let it go to hell.

“Iraq was stable and on the mend when Bush left office. It was those same Marxist idiots in the Obama Administration that let it go to hell.”

That is true enough.

I still don’t think it was worth the price of blood and treasure. PIAPS simply accelerated the inevitable. Any state that is 90+ percent Islamic will eventually elect or allow an Ayatollah, Bey or some other local version of a Muslim despot to come to power. It will happen in Turkey, Indonesia and Malaysia within 30 years. The only eception is when Muslims live in a secular military dictatorship that run by nominal Muslims (Jordan)and even these will fall to extremism given a little more time. It is a flaw in Islam that it caters to the violent and the extreme.

Let the Saddam’s of the world cut each other to pieces. Let them murder millions of their own citizens. The citizen of those countries deserve it because of their worldview. We should only only accept non-Muslim refugees from Muslim countries. That is a tragic thing to say but it is true.

Trump opposed it, and at the time I thought it odd. But he was right. Just goes to show you the unexpected

A fascinating article indeed, thanks for posting it.

There was one time a saying about “all things old are new again” and it has occurred to me that an incoming Trump Administration, with the focus on ‘America First’, economic recovery and growth at home, and only acting abroad when true American interests are threatened, would be in some ways, very much like the McKinley Administration, although William McKinley was certainly not as flamboyant as Trump, his positions compare favorably.

Of course McKinley's assassination, 6 months into his second term in 1901 meant the ascendancy of Theodore Roosevelt, who self described himself as a 'progressive', even forming the Progressive Party in 1912.

These are interesting times.
