City records 300th homicide with 13 over Father's Day weekend

he city recorded its 300th homicide this weekend and went on to record six others over a 60-hour period that saw 59 people shot, 13 fatally, from Friday afternoon through early Monday morning.

So far this year, about 1,800 people have been shot across the city and more than 200 of those wounded have died of their wounds, according to records kept by the Chicago Tribune. A total of 306 people have been killed this year by shooting, stabbing or other means, Tribune records show.

A 3-year-old boy was among the wounded who survived the weekend shootings. Police said he’s in critical condition. The boy was shot in the right shoulder near East 61st Street and South Kimbark Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, police said. The boy was in a car seat when an unknown attacker fired shots at the car, police said. People in the vehicle managed to get the boy to University of Chicago Medical Center. He was then transferred to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Five people were fatally shot and nine others were hurt between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Four of the fatalities occurred in seven hours. The fatalities included a 16-year-old boy who was killed in West Englewood about 9:05 p.m. Friday. He was in the front passenger seat of a car driving through an alley in the 6500 block of South Hamilton Avenue when two males came up and fired shots, according to police.

I find it rather interesting about his claim for a “sawed off shotgun”. Several years ago there was a drug raid in Chicago which netted a large amount of guns. The news showed a large number of single shot sawed off shotguns. Obviously the “A-s-s-sault Rifle” was not one of them.

You are right of course - their gun laws are the toughest in the country and the results speak for themselves, but this is a cultural problem and the carnage would continue even if there was not a firearm in Illinois. The PC thing to do is talk about “guns” because it makes people nervous and defensive if you address the failed culture that created this mess.

Liberalism is killing these kids and leaving the rest of the country with a huge bill that our kids and grandkids will have to pay. It’s easy to look at Chicago and derisively dismiss it along cultural lines, but think about all the wasted potential it represents. Those children could be so much more than this!

I honestly hate to bring this up. It is a sad truth. And if not for the hypocrisy of the Obama administration and of the folks I know in the city of Chicago, I would remain totally silent about this. The sad truth, as revealed on Tuesday by the US Attorney General Loretta Lynch, is that all of you living in Chicago simply do not love your neighbors nearly enough. All of you in Chicago should be terribly ashamed of yourselves. This past weekend tragically marked the 300th violent murder in your city only six months into the year. Your fellow citizens of Chicago can’t even take off father’s day weekend from murdering each other, as over a 60-hour period saw 59 people shot, 13 fatally, from Friday afternoon through early Monday morning. Although oddly enough one violent shooting mentioned the use of “possibly an AK-47” assault weapon I noted that almost none, if any, of those 300 acts of violent murder in Chicago were the result of the use of an AR-15 rifle that so many of you would like to have our government unconstitutionally remove from my possession. Shockingly So far this year, about 1,800 people have been shot across the city. And even more shockingly, I have not heard one person I know from Chicago utter a single word about this tragic number of lives lost. I noted and shared in your grief and despair over the 50 people violently murdered in Orlando last week, completely avoidable had only we simply loved a terrorist more. I also noted your desire to stop such violence by advocating that the right provided by God to all citizens of these United States to arm and protect themselves from all forms of violence should be removed by the men and women in our Congress. While such a change can be made by ‘man’ to our God given rights, it requires no less than amending the Constitution by a clear process, which involves ratification by 37 states as spelled out in that same document. It’s quite straight forward. All Congress needs to do is amend the Constitution and states ratify that amendment with no need to stage House ‘sit-ins’ or filibusters, which Ted Cruz proved solves absolutely nothing. To prove out the undeniable theory of the US Attorney General that “our most effective response to terror is compassion, it’s unity and it’s love” I hereby propose that all you folks in Chicago get out of your house and start loving your neighbors much, much more. And if you can prove this theory and reduce your city’s murder rate by 80% by 2017 with the simple and effective tools of love and compassion at your disposal, then I will personally join any effort, even write letters to my representatives, to advise them to add and ratify an amendment to the US Constitution that would effectively nullify, repeal, and remove the second amendment of the US Constitution and thereby relinquish my God given right to keep and bear arms. Go out and love your neighbors and stop the killing. Start tomorrow, there is no time to waste, if one life can be saved. Oh, and do it for the children. Until and unless you succeed in this clearly easily achievable goal, please keep your concerns about my arms as quiet as you manage to keep the Chicago murder rate. I thank you, and your fellow Americans will thank you I am certain.

The lack of jobs, kids learning the illegal drug enterprise rather than getting an education and illegal drugs are the driving force for the inner city violence. It is a cultural meltdown accelerated by the deterioration of the family that creates people without the moral fiber to support the rule of law. Instead they have degenerated to street justice, illegal drugs, prostitution, theft, armed robbery, murder, auto theft and the list goes on.

The DemonRAT’s inability to focus on the real problems are using a diversionary tactic to hide their total failure in cities they have controlled for generations. It may be that they are so consumed by graft and corruption that they have no desire to fix the beast that feeds them.
