it has been standard procedure in my family to select chemical/cleaning products by looking for the "not for sale in California" label.True that. They sell CRC Brake Cleaner at Auto Zone that will drop a hornet out of the air, DRT. Great for cookouts.

How about market and the consumers decide what is toxic and what is not.
That would be because in 2016 Americans and Illegal Aliens are just too damn stupid to know what is good for them, or dangerous. /s

If he signed a bill then it had to come from congress. There is shared blame here.
Damn straight. How does anyone think we grew the national debt by $4 TRILLION under that drunkard Boner?

I think Rush has repeatedly pointed out is that the way to kill these bureaucracies is to de-fund, de-fund, de-fund.
Read the boilerplate on the legislation creating Lizzie Warren's CFPB. It is SELF-FUNDING. Skynet is now self-aware.

Congress passed the legislation after decades of criticism from environmental groups that called on lawmakers to fix what they called one of the worst environmental laws on the books. Federal oversight over chemicals was so weak that a court ruled the EPA lacked the power to fully regulate use of asbestos.
The Constitution never authorizes the executive branch to regulate a single thing. And no branch of the federal government has the constitutional right to regulate anything intrastate, either.

At the present time the cleaning products you can buy do not get your clothes, dishes or anything else clean. Wish the EPA would leave my cleaning products alone.
One of these days I’m going to have to replace my dishwasher and washing machine. Friends tell me the new ones are pitiful and a huge waste of money.

But I thought the EPA’s mission was to despoil the environment.
Wouldn’t it be the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s job to irritate consumers?

Nice,
I’m in the chemical business too. The regulations are insane, and our stuff is relatively benign.
We’ve got an entire department dedicated to meeting the regulations.
